Installing New Mod
1.unpack archive using software like winrar.
2.go to your cod 4 directory, then to the folder mods ,then go to modwarfare then to images (if one does not exist create one).
3.Organize the unpacked contents by type, then copy and paste them into the images folder.
4.Then start the make mod batch file and a cmd sequence will appear (press any key to close when it says to), followed by a new iwd file.
5.Now your ready start the game, then go to mods, select modwarfare and launch and the game we relaunch with the new skins
Installing Into Another Mod
1.Go to the mod you want to put the skins in directory.
2.Use sofware like winrar to open the mods iwd file
3.find or create an images folder
4.drag and drop the iwi files from the downloaded contents in the images folder and follow your software repack instructions (pack in best quality)
5.close the Archive and start the game in that mod and enjoy your new skins
do not try to have to skins set for the same weapon it will crash the game.
if the game starts the mod successfully, but then freezes with a not enough memory for image creation then start the game without the mod and change texture filter and textures to automatic.
don't edit the names of the iwi files unless you are removing the extra " iwi_out " portion.
playing online will require other players to have the mod too.
make sure punkbusters off when attempting to play mod online.
edit the existing flame skin by using the named dds files that can be editted by software like adobe photoshop, Gimp, and Paint.net ( a free product that i used ). When doing this remember to save your changes in dds format with the same name and use the dds2iwi-cod4 converter to change it into game format. then remove the " iwi_out " segment of the name and add it to the mod of your choice.
