Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...
Testing some sort of low color look. Vivid colors fit better in this kind of style. I also modelled it so that it's modelled from little parts, so I don't have to model any separate gib models. I'm thinking I would model all characters that way, might look a little bit weird on completely organic models, but maybe with this kind of graphic style it would work ok anyway.
The texture and UV map are not final quality, they're there just to allow it have some color on the different parts. I may also tweak the model, perhaps it should have less polygons and appear more blocky, or have less small parts?
I also modelled the legs bent that way.. but now I remember it's not a good idea to do that, because then it's difficult to get straight in animations.
can i see a wireframe of this model =) ?
I'll include a wireframe image next time I show a pic of it...
