Blaze is a retro/minimalistic styled sci-fi first person flight/shooter action game. The game can be played almost single handedly with just mouse. It's about shooting a lot of alien things (in semi-randomized missions?). The alien things are trying capture all your base, and have already captured at least half of it. You have to defend the base and capture the alien controlled areas back. Or something like that...
I thought to try drawing directly with the palette. I decided to start it with some simpler object like the sword. Character model might have been a bit too complicated for some first try with that kind of drawing.
Well, it turned out to be half directly with the palette and other half with more colors.
I also thought to see how a single edged blade would look like. The blade is as wide as before, but the cutting edge is wider now. It is also longer, 200cm long. Maybe the handle could be a few cm longer, it should fit about 3 fists in it.
