As you know Virtual Reality technologies are growing very fast. Do you see the future in VR porn or adult VR gaming?

I'm going to remove the link you included and assume this isn't spam, but a legitimate topic

If you by "future" mean that it will spawn and infect VR apps, yes, there is no doubt. The question is what direction all of the VR technology will take. Right now it is mostly singleplayer VR games. The breakthrough may happen when VR tech evolves towards multiplayer/MMO games. So not caring about NSFW content, but we really could use some sort of non-adult multiplayer/social VR gaming; multiplayer VR fighters, VR MMO RPGs, etc.

Also another issue appears here: people could do vulgar things in non-vulgar games, just like there is "unrated"/unsafe vulgar drivel in multiplayer voicechat/chat. How will developers cope with all those situations inside their VR multiplayer games? Would really like to see what happens to multiplayer/social VR gaming, and how it turns out.

There WILL definitely be VR porn or "adult gaming". I bet there would be tons of users consuming that kind of VR content.

Of course there would be. It can't be helped

That's why we need to rate games and put warning on those games

VR does not seem very much accessible at the moment for the average consumer, but if you mean in an indefinite future, sure.
Most of them will probably be Japanese though... As for "porn", I think it is highly unlikely but no doubt someone will attempt that eventually.

Yes, the will be VR porn. Apparently there are already adult toys that plug into a computer and can be controlled over the internet by someone else. I'm not confessing to anything, I saw this in a documentary a couple of years ago. Honest.

In fact, my prediction is that adult entertain will make or break VR simply because it's done the same for so many other technologies and media formats.

Adult content is always the early adopter. Lots of willing engaged users. Commercial applications will be where VR takes off first, since they have money and a legitimate business case.

Obviously it is useful. Because of VR it will be easier to understand the concepts more clearly especially in telecommunication field where we say signal is passed like this or that. This will give a clear idea to student how actually a particular system works. As far as disadvantage is concerned only if VR for game, it will psychologically affect. ))

There is already a significant presence of working games and tests with pornographic content developed for VR gear. I will not quote them, but they do are somewhat... known and used.

Will this make a large section of apps developed for VR? I don't know, perhaps it will be like with porn video games of today. Have a selection but otherwise unknown on the large map.

It is like 29_games said. Sadly it will probably break it rather than make it. It will largely depend on developers and the market share in the end. As previously mentioned, thinking it is not just separate NSFW apps that are the problem.

Assuming VR tech evolves further, and you will be able to animate your character fully in a (SFW) VR MMO RPG, many social VR issues still may arise, such as VR privacy, personal VR space, tastefulness and scope of interaction itself. Griefers and trolls can easily use it to make dumb moves and poses, and break legit social/multiplayer VR gaming, at least in some ways. "NSFW" behaviour in an SFW game would be a problem too, and could severely limit or even cripple multiplayer VR gaming.

We need to figure out if we will allow entertainment (and adult) content on www.indiedb.com

I wouldn't do so, cause your site then gets the reputation of the best site to find VR porn. It's not worth the higher number of visitors, is it?

I think you have to stay serious, since this whole nsfw content would really hurt your rep of a professional, serious and sophisticated site.

Oh I totally agree, we are not a porn site. I mean do we list creator / developer hardware etc. Not the actual porn itself. I believe the answer is we don't - but thought it warrented a discussion

Absolutely.
Porn has always walked hand-in-hand with internet as a whole.

I see what you did there (literally)

I very much see a future for adult content in VR. Just because people have got some crazy imaginations, and I think

we'll be seeing some x-rated simultations whether we asked for them or not.

Seems unavoidable due to the fanbase of adult games being particularly large
