Hi fellow gamers As you probably already know, Metroid is one of the greatest game So I decided to act and create a petition against the game You are welcome to join our efforts, no matter how lean they are our Remember that Other M is just one example of the crisis that the video games sector is subject to. Thank you |

Couldn't agree more. Gamers are starting to sound like whiners, jumping to petition at the drop of a hat these days. Besides, the more casual the game becomes, the closer it'll get to playing like Super Metroid and the titles that truly made the series (I rather liked Prime, but I can see it being harder to pick up and play than the sidescrolling titles). |

Not only that but I bet these petition site creators are making a killing on ad revenue. =p -- snetErz.com - Web Design |

yep there complaining about everything lately from modern warfare to halo or l4d, mario, etc.... fans lately just don't seem to respect game designers anymore and if though im not very fund of ninetodo for getting exclusive sonic titles i don't think the petition will work but if you want to get people to not buy try putting this on more forums, 'maybe' spark something but remember some people may enjoy the new games so it would be unfair to petition the game/series |

holy cow... a petition against a game that didn't have ONE BAD GAME in the series EVER. Sure, MP2 was long & tedious, but it was still tons of fun & had lots to entertain players. Why not make a petition to close Valve down, that happening would be a blessing to gamers & dev's everywhere, not a petition to stop an excellent franchise from having it's 6th game on a console within a 22 year franchise span. I WISH some other franchises had games as good as the Metroid series. I can't think of any other series (whole sieries) where I'd happily buy a re-release just because they're that much fun to play. Let's take a quick history lesson here: people thought Prime would be horrible because it wasn't sidescroller, it's phenomenal. i'm giving nintendo a HUGE benefit of the doubt here. -- Go play some Quake 2: q2server.fuzzylogicinc.com |

I disagree. I love Steam. -- |

actually steam is terrible for us mod'ers because it makes it hard for people to run programs like unreal without it falling apart when we use custom things but anyway it is unfair to petition a game before it even releases |

Umm not really I have seen many many mods that use unreal and can be easily used on steam... --

well ive seen no modes work on the steam unless my uni mod was too powerful but ive had no problems running it without steam but 'anyway' back to metroid it looks k, never play'd any of them, should play some at somepoint since it kinda got a old retro feeling that i should hav played at some point |

Man, what an awesome idea. Post about your console-centric petition in a largely pc-centric website. I'm sure everyone will grab their torches and pitchforks in a hurry. |

When have internet petitions ever accomplished something? Anyways its way to early to judge Metroid Other M. For all we know it could end up being effectively a direct remake of the original. Also I think what has been shown has been pretty cool. |

Yes, very good idea. And while we are at it, let's go ahead and get a Petition of Retro Studios stopping there production of Metroid games, or ID for making a horrible sequel to Doom and Doom II. Most of the Petitions are just opinion originated hate letters. That just aren't hate letters. So, basically complaining about the fighting in a Metroid game, I could see a complaint there, yes. But, making a petition against it when all we know is pretty much it's in between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion is really bad. Wait until a demo or you actually play the game. And as stated, don't buy it. |

Hey some of us liked Doom 3 just as much as Dooms 1 & 2. On that same note why does it matter who makes the game as long as they do a good job, and since Metroid: Other M isn't out yet I don't think anyone is in a position to judge it. |

you people are ridiculous. QQ some more closing valve ? that would single handedly destroy the pc gaming community. oh sure, it would still exist, but it wouldnt ever get back to what it was before. Why? Because Valve is the ONLY PLACE that sells pc games anymore. None of my local stores stock pc, because its not popular. Even the game stores only stock a 10-game long list of 'latest releases'. And in limited quantity. Pc world. I went there, and its 'latest releases' was at least 3 months out of date. Valve are keeping the game alive, and they do excellent with their sales and money off games. Stupid anti-fanbois =/ |
