I think its unfair that if we donate our Job ads will be shown right now. but if we wont it will take many days. thats unfair

the site is making money with the $$$ Ads.... ?

It's not unfair in the least. If you want your ads shown with priority, you pay for the priveledge. It doesn't take many days, but it does mean they won't be shown on the front page - which has limited space. If you're serious about posting a job ad, I don't think a few dollars is really going to dent your wallet.

When you are strapped for cash and there isn't even a guarantee you're going to get a reply on the job, then yes, yes it does dent your wallet.

I'm not saying people shouldn't donate, but I gotta admit there seems like there could be a better way of doing it. Like, maybe donating certain amounts of money could do things like remove commercial ads from videos from your game/mod's page or at least giving you the ability to disable them. It would only pertain to your sections, and it sure as heck gives more incentive to donate. It's better to offer something extra rather than a negative for not. This is basic psychology.

It's £6.99 - the price of two beers or a packet of cigarettes in this country.

In the US that is 10 dollars. If you are so strapped that putting out $10 dollars, on what is essentially a gamble, is going to put you in a bad way then maybe you have your aspirations set way to high. All good things come with time. So, again, if ten dollars is going to hurt then it's time to rethink the whole project.

I think its pretty weak that you use a free service and then are pissed that you gotta pay $10 for a bonus, if you don't wanna donate just wait. If its urgent just pay the $10

Pretty much. All that $10 really does is mean your advert is as the top of a list instead of in the middle of it.

it isnt free its $80 for Big Shot Dev...

It's $10 for an indie. If you're a 'big shot developer', I don't think $80 is going to worry you in the least.

ok but the problem is if i dont donate then ill be waiting days even weeks till my Job Ad is posted.

I mean no offence but I don't think you'd fall into 'big shot dev'.

I know nothing about the donation system myself, but if that's the only thing in "Zion Gaming Tech"'s portfolio your probably set to just donate the $10 yeah?

As has already been said, if you were a large development house, you could spare $80 for it, otherwise just wait?

Really? I've posted several job ads already and they took about one max. two days until they were displayed.

I suspect that your adverts may not have been authorised for not meeting the standards outlined.

Main site administrators are on GDC, maybe that's why your job ad didn't get through yet.

I venture to say if all you are doing is releasing games using Sploder, mayhaps you should save your money and quit paying for this fee to bump yourself up. From what I have seen you should not even be considering yourself a big shot dev. You have zero products.

I have been at GDC for the past week, if you had followed site developments you would know that it will be running slower than normal as we only have the volunteer staff working. I am back now however, and like the rest of the site free ads will never go live without myself looking at them. You know unless you enjoy bot spam or one line adds like "need 3dmodelr for guns and stuff email my hotmail". You ether have a well maintained website or you have instant posting pick one.

Also considering I work on this website 355 days a year with 10 days spent at GDC were I use my time to expand the ideas and partnerships for the sites I think you are getting a good deal considering it is nothing on your end aside from patience.
