Make your RPG with simple operation!
"RPG MAKER VX" is a software that enables you to create your original role playing game without any special knowledge. The process is very simple. First, create a map which becomes the stage of your adventure. Secondly, setup the hero, monsters, items, magic, etc,all the things you need to play the RPG. Finally you can complete your very own RPG by creating the events and placing them around the map.
The New RPG MAKER is easier!
In the previous RPG MAKER XP you had to use the script called RGSS but now you can use most of the functions with easier setups. You can save time by making frequent using events with one single command, and by making beautiful maps with little operation.
Numerous Refined sample Data!
For players who are unable to prepare character graphics and music by themselves, we have made various sample data. The samples are made to meet specification for the game and tuned to the most attractive high quality level, so that anyone could enjoy the game right away. Of course you can import and use your own original materials as in the previous RPG MAKER XP.
Created games are possible to distribute!
As before, there is a function in which you can save your created game and play it with the computers of other people. It's possible to burn it on to a disc and give it to your friends or distribute it over the internet for other gamers. It goes without saying that you can market your game as a shareware, too.

Spirit Timer: No Escape Trailer Released
We've been hard at work over as SMC Games HQ to ensure that Spirit Timer is as ready as it can be for public release. We've completed 90% of the maps, and updated a ton of the eventing. We're also happy to introduce Karen Dellaway to our production who is helping us out with the Voice Acting of The Saviour. She is an amazing voice actress and we are really excited to be working with her. Her voice features in our new trailer.

Fantastic engine for beginner game developers! For the more advanced, I'd steer away and find an engine a lot more complicated.
Code does not need to be learnt and the engine comes with pre-made resources. A game can be made solely out of pointing and clicking at the screen and a little imagination.

I tried to install RPG maker and, while the icons are still there, I am unable to use it because it claims that it wasn't installed. Any suggestions as to why this has happened and on how to fix it?
Is this any good to use if your looking to make an rgp game with it.
It's perfect, comes with everything you need and the community sites will help you!

simple as in, ******* FAILURE, secret of mana looks better than this **** and that was over 15 years ago, lame engine.
l have downloaded it and installed it but there is no exe file to open it just Audio,Graphics,fount and a bunch of .dll files please help me!

Anyone who is using this engine should sign up at this group and share their work I'm making it the official moddb RPG Maker VX group since their wasn't one available. It will be a good place to share Ideas, projects and to meet other users of the engine. The group has an open policy so join up and start sharing. The group just started today so be patient when you join and soon we should have plenty of people to consort with on all things RMVX.
I'm not trying to spam, this group is directly related to RMVX.
