The Drag[en]gine is a fully customizable game engine and game development environment designed with modularity and extensibility in mind not requiring expensive licenses.
A little GIF animation (can't record videos of the IGDE) showing varying direct light intensities. The ambient intensity is always 4 in this example. The direct light intensity varies between 16 and 0. This way the strength of shadows as well as the existence of shadows can be controlled. Best use for this is to use a clouds texture for the direct sun light intensity to simulate varying lighting condition as clouds pass by.
cant record? try Camstudio, its free and it can record anything :) Camstudio.org
Sorry, this doesn't work. For one I'm on Linux and for second you can't capture both GUI and OpenGL at the same time. This is a timing issue since OpenGL renders to a back buffer and then swaps the buffers. Capture apps can not capture both together. You can capture OpenGL directly by placing a hook and intercept glFinish but then you can't capture the GUI. So until I have video "encoding" is working in the engine capturing the IGDE in action is simply technically impossible, no matter what app you use.
