A simple mod for doom that replaces Doom weapons with Corridor 7 ones.
Also includes some music and and option to tweak how much damage your weapon does to monsters.
Now with a 5 level mini campaign.
So... I've been wanting to make a Corridor 7 mod for quite a while.
Because of this whole deal with forced quarantine and no internet service I finally found some spare time to work on this project.
This is NOT a serious project, it's just something i've did within the lapse of 2 months while resting from more serious projects.
There are some great corridor 7 tc's out there, including the doomsday version made by Vermil. But still wanted to do something simple, no maps, no monsters, just weapons with some minor tweaks for the sake of playability.
One of those things is to correct the pitch of most sounds, since all the corr7 mod's i've seen uses sounds with lower pitch, which therefore modifies the firerate of the weapons.
Because of firerate, the corridor 7 weapons are kinda op in doom, but i've added a damage multiplier option, so that way players can modify the guns power to their liking.
In a nutshell, this adds corr7 weapons into doom. Idk if i'll ever do monsters or custom maps, as they aren't planned for the time being, considering the amount of projects i'm currently working on.
Also added some rendered versions of the songs to enhance the atmosphere, as some corr7 mod's outthere used midi versions of the songs or no songs at all. Tracks are played at random. You can still choose if you want regular doom music though instead.
This is something i've did while under quarantine to burn some time faster. It helped a bit, but now it's time to move on to the main projects, so there it is...
It is a small project, but it was fun to work with, I hope you enjoy this mod for a while. AlphaEnt.
PS1: If you want a more accurate experience, go play the Vermil's version of corridor 7 TC instead, really cool project. Or upcoming Corridor 666, by the creator of Jazz Jackrabbit Doom. Still in progress, but also promising.
PS2: This mod seems to fit quite well with overall freedoom's aestetics =P
PS3: Feel free to reuse this project in any way you wish.
Having played and finished the Corridor 7 game, this feels nostalgic.
