Update 2021: Updated intro map with the latest fixes and changes to the BS2PC map converter on github. Ported straight from the Playstation 2 version of Half-Life comes the Half-Life hazard course special intro! No longer will this special section of the hazard course be PS2 exclusive! Enjoy!
Update 2021: Updated intro map with the latest fixes and changes to the BS2PC map converter on github.
This is the PlayStation 2 version of the Hazard Course intro from Half-Life. Now this special map is no longer PS2 exclusive.
Integrated seamlessly with the normal Half-Life Hazard Course and includes all proper dialog, models, and maps necessary to function properly.
Includes standard and HD varient models necessary.
Installation: Place the folder "valve" and "valve_hd" into your \Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life folder.
Special thanks to Valve, Gearbox and Triang3l; the creater of BS2PC on github. And also thank you to whoever made the low-def clipboard scientist. I can't seem to find the original creator of that model.
Awesome, I really like this map. Can I use it for the original game without HD models?
Oh, I see. Thank you so much!!! ^_^
Yeah haha sorry I know the picture only shows the HD models, but this addon DOES include a standard definition variants as well.
Looks pretty good!
Can you port all the PS2 hazard course maps?
Unfortunately porting all of the PS2 Hazard Course maps is not really possible at the moment. They can be converted to the proper format and launched in-game but because of how the PS2 version of Half-Life's combat code works it is not possible to actually complete the hazard course without using cheats such as noclip. Sorry!
This is good! But for some reason the scientist animations keep lagging or doing wrong loops when he is explaining all the training stuff at the start.
I tried to look at the PS2 Half-Life port to PC (since it works fine there) and i could not really find what the problem is.
Unfortunately I'm not really sure what causes the bug or how to fix it, it's probably just a compatibility issue with the current version of the HL1 engine; since I'm sure it has gone through many changes since the PS2 release.
Somehow they got it working properly on this mod port:
Moddb.com
I was trying to see how they did it but no success.
The sound also dont work for me.
The Problem is that the ld model have some kind of animation bugs
He just keeps swinging the clipboard and never stops, i mean the animation read1 is a loop i tried to fix that and it didn't seem to work
For some reason none of the tutorial messages don't appear in sections where i jump, duck and duckjump
Unfortunately I am not knowledgeable enough to be able to fix any bugs that may be experienced for some of you that get this addon, sorry everyone! This was just a simple port that I put together myself, but I did not create any of the actual contents used.
it says could not open hlps2.wad
same here
same
EDIT: nvm I just needed the file from here: Moddb.com
how to play this? put in the decay maps folder or in hl1?
In Half-Life files ("valve"). But don't forget to make a copy of original t0a0 map.
Could you make it work for other languages? for me the scientists at the start have no sound (I play on spanish, and their dialogs were recorded)
wow i love this mod
