You're not gonna be seeing giblets if that's what you're expecting. It's probably increased blood textures and particles

My opinion, gore does not equal blood, blood is blood. Gore however, is if you would shoot someone's head with a sniper, they will be missing a part of it. Wound hits are really minor gore though, so idk.

My opinion, gore does not equal dismemberment neither, dismemberment is dismemberment. You can perfectly make an headshot with the backskull going to pieces without being gore, but just realistic. As you can also do gore without using dismemberment.
Gore is a way of showing graphic violence "more than it is necessary" and just for the pleasure of it. It's all about the "too much". And that is what I did with this mod. I increased the blood effects a lot more than necessary, just for the pleasure of blood.
So with your example, gore is if you would shoot someone's head with a sniper, they will be an explosion of blood and flesh of it, with some brains stuk to the walls, blood all over the place and geyser of blood from the neck.
Depending of the weapon you use with my mod, this is nearly what is going to happen. :)

Naw... chunks equals gore. Blood is blood but as soon as you have chunks and strudel and bits and popped zits... it's gore.

Now it would be strange if gore wasn't lubricated with an ample helping of blood of course... but it has been done, just usually not well and often like a meal... not a complete breakfast.

As said in the summary, this mod only enhances the blood effects. There is no dismemberment. It is not possible with X-ray engine. I even looked for making animated blood decals or just simply decals on bodies, but it's also not possible with Cop engine.
So I focused on making better and more visible blood splash effects on bodies, and better, bigger, darker and more varied realistic blood projections on surfaces. I tried to keep a good balance between realism and gory-fun.

You should take a look at Shoker to see if you can merge in their blood pools.

Shoker mod add a lot of changes in the engine too. It'll be very hard to merge this one with others big mod (with engine edits).
But all moders are not sharing their knowledge on repo.

With the time, it'll be more and more hard to merge mod. The time of winmerge is done.

Well, I did take a look, and I think I have found the script for the blood pool, but I can't manage to get it loaded within CoC. This is way above my abilities. I can paint whatever you want, since it is my daily job, but coding... makes my head hurt.:)

Hi, if you want to use the mod with AO3.1, open its system.ltx and raplce the whole "[bloody_marks]" section with the one from this mod.
I'll make an update of the file later.

It is the same thing for every mods that have a modified system.ltx file :
First install the Gore mod without its system.ltx file.
Then open the Goremod system.ltx file with notepad and copy/paste the whole "[bloody_marks]" section into the other mod's system.ltx file that you want to use with Goremod.

Never has blasting someone in the face from point blank with a SPAS 12 been so satisfying.

1.4.10+ already uses most of his new blood textures with the exception of the blood on the HUD and the blood mist when you shoot people.

Doesn't work on latest version. You need to merge the system.ltx from the latest CoC for this. Once I got it working, it looks pretty great though.

Cool mod, I always use this one. Thaks for making it. I have one question though:
What process did you use to create these textures? I am trying to create my own, but there is always a black background on the blood decal in-game.
