Welcome to Doom Infinite - a roguelike adventure in the setting of the original DOOM series.


Doom Infinite is a single-player Doom-based FPS roguelike mod for GZDoom 4.8.2 or newer.

Requires Doom2.wad to run (DOOM II ON STEAM)

Encounter demons empowered with various traits and curses that make them stronger, faster or much more tricky to send back to hell. Collect, mix and match multiple permanent power-ups for a unique approach on each runs. Find unique weapons variations or mod them yourself to your liking. Explore more to unlock new places or discover hidden secrets, but beware of the traps and challenges lingering about. All that while the dynamic weather or map-wide curses provide additional challenges. Even the maps themselves can warp and distort, presenting a slightly different path each time you visit them. But more importantly than that - survive the longest you can, while shooting anything moving that crosses your path!

Greatly expanding upon the originals' mechanics, Infinite allows for a fun, dynamic and unique experience along with perma-death and unlockable achievements. From dynamic spawners, balanced game director, visual and audio updates, three brand new weapons, music shuffler to even a simple but expressive emote system - those are only some of the extra components built into this mod, all to enhance ripping and tearing through hordes of demons hunting you down.

Classic Mode featured in this demo sees the player tackle a pool of shuffled classic Doom maps, each slightly different every time. Speaking of time - even this isn't on your side, as it passes the game increases its Curse Level, serving tougher foes and more hazards. There are multiple ways to combat this - from increasing your stats, collecting powerups that grant additional abilities or protections to working on your weapons through the gun modding system. Each and all will help, provided that the luck doesn't suddenly turn on you...

After surviving yet another bloodshed on a classic map the player is thrown back to the twisted and mysterious dimension of Limbo. This intermission allows him to rest for a while, explore and collect some precious and much needed resources. While the main structure might seem stationary enough deeper corridors rarely lead to the same place twice or present the same challenge behind unlockable gates. As much as one might call Limbo "home" it still is a dangerous place in which one can easily perish.


After five years of development the currently available version 0.977.2 of the mod is a fully playable and stable release. The team is working on more content, features and bug fixes, before jumping into the project's next big phase. You can track the progress or report any bugs via its Discord server and support it on Patreon.

i always use mouselook , at least after doom protoype :)
you think of insert a corruption card mod ?
this mod change the experience and add longevity
this is my setup for emulate the rougelike experience :

I have the freedoom mobile port(along with the original doom iwads) will this work on those?

I would say it will... try to work, but sprites and sounds might be messed up. Next version (0.978) will have improved touch input by the way!

How do you install this mod?

Funny thing is we didn't attach the TXT file this time because nobody seemed to read it... :) Sorry for that!

All you need is the original Doom2.wad (but not Doom.wad! This can be bought on Steam), an engine port called GZDoom (4.8.2 or higher) and the file from this site. Put everything in one happy folder, then drag the .pk3 file into the GZDoom.exe and viola, should work! Will have a dedicated launcher in the future!
