Hii, I'm John, formerly an aspiring game developer, now just a game player. I'm a huge fan of games made in the 90's and early-to-mid 2000's and love seeing the creative things that people come up with. I prefer to keep to myself, so there isn't much for you to see around here, sorry... but hey, this isn't a place for profile reading is it? It's a place to play some games and mods, so get to it!

Hey John, sorry about the delay on a response. I appreciate the concern. There is indeed a fair amount on but I s'pose that's just life and most of it is exciting (if still a bit complicated) anyway! Hoppe you're keeping well and whilst I'm here, thanks for the lovely review on RTBR. More to come, as always!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review of From the Ashes :) Really appreciate you taking the time to write so in depth about it!

Your criticism of the lengthy instructions are of course very valid and something I'm fully aware of. Unfortunately the remasters have no way of making custom text triggers like you would see in the vanilla missions, so the briefings are really the only place I can conveniently put down everything the player needs to know. As you also pointed out, the UI element of reviewing briefings in-game also does not work for custom missions for some reason, but there is a work-around for this. If you do a quick-save and go to the menu for loading a mission, the briefing is shown there.

Anyway, there are two more missions left in the campaign (plus an ending cinematic) so I hope you'll check 'em out when they're done! Thanks for playing!

Oh, I will for sure! I'm eagerly waiting for them haha, I just felt I had played enough good stuff to write a review, even though From the Ashes is not finished. Thank you, also!

Hi. Thanks for your great review on FF:R.
Even though the time of its 'popularity' has already passed long ago, since i stopped working on it and released the "Last DevBuild", it's still satisfying to know some people occasionally discover and play it.
Of course I am well aware of all criticism about it, the issues that you mentioned have been well-known across most people who played it and me aswell.
I'm currently working on Lost and Damned, trying myself in survival-horror direction.
Not sure about FF:R's future, but maybe one day I'll decide to give it a spiritual successor.
