Also known as the "Emergency Patch".
This patch can be installed at any time and is fully compatible with old save files. The patch includes fixes and new content. Always use the latest version.
Installation
Extract the files and database folder from the zip into the root directory of RTTN (Where Stalker-RTTN.exe is).
Merge the existing database folder and overwrite existing files.
The _LOG_* file can be read in-game from the main menu.

13.8.2 Is a patch to improve the overall experience of Road To The North. Small errors have been fixed including an item animation bug and I made improvements to mission rewards, traders and the loading screen. Common annoyances have been fixed. You can now keep the monolith suit after a certain mission and "the stash" on the last story mission has been moved to a more accessible place. I implemented a completely new end boss for the story.

- Fixed spelling mistakes. Fixed mistake in dialog with Red about the Link Emitter.
- Fixed incorrect description of Death Lamp within several artefact containers.
- Increased base bag space from 155 to 175.
- Increased rewards for Pripyat scientist missions.
- Added goodwill reward for many scientist story missions.
- You will now keep the monolith suit after a certain mission.
- Disabled a dynamic anomaly at the jupiter plant (jup_b8_smart_terrain) which could block the way during a mission.
- Fixed typo which allowed a blind zombie squad simulation at labx18 during mission for Boss which should have been disabled.
- Improved loading screen background.
- Updated credits file.
- Implemented RTTN credits to show in-game before the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Credits.

- fixed exploit on the bag space system dropping items in a wrong condition.
-attempt to fix duplicate characters placed by the simulation system. did not work for Cordon, research needed.

Zoom on aim has been adjusted with a customized merged addon, on FOV 75 there is no zoom. I'd need to make a new patch for every possible FOV value to remove for everyone so that would suck. Thanks a lot!! It's awesome to see all the positive comments :D
Thanks to you! I noticed too much gloss_factor that shines white too much, i changed from 4 to 1, anyway the overall graphic looks awesome, is stalker friendly and doesn't break the original stalker games feeling!

I still find the duplicates in Cordon, but only in Cordon. I will find out what's causing this. If there are duplicates anywhere else, or story characters duplicating I need to know asap :)
I found a problem, hope can be resolved: In cordon if you go down the stairs in the houses, you can't go up anymore

I also suggest to take a look to the openal library in the Anomaly Repack like in this image I.imgur.com
These 3 files let use hrtf with openal and surround as well, i tried with your Road to the North and works perfectly, so if you are planning to build another repack in the future i suggest to bring these files into it too ^^

I managed to get out (of here Stalker) with a low crouch jump
If you use the low crouch and walk forward you will s-l-o-w-l-y climb them. Works for the other rookie village basement which has the same problem. Hope this helps.

Nope
not for the emergency patch alone, only for the new game patch. To completely patch your game you need to combine them on a new playthrough. The emergency patch is meant to patch as much as possible on existing saves
update to above info: all patches were later included with the RTTN repack found on RTTN moddb. existing players can still choose to download a patch seperately. Updates do not require a new game since the "newgame patch" was merged long ago and all other patches can be installed with existing saves
Dumb question inbound but here goes. Since the emergency patch is a database folder, should the file-path be:
Road to the north > database > patch
...or...
Road to the north > database > database > patch
which is what my computer decide to do. Is there any indication that he patch has worked (other than a lack of duplicates of course)
database database makes no sense, keep the folder structure. If you unpack the patch you can merge database with database, keeping the original folder structure

using Geiger Counter through F4 makes the game crash (current patch)
It doesn't for other users including me :), that should never happen. Is your F4 mapped to another key or macro?
I happily use F4 for Geiger Counter, no problem at all.
duplicates should now be patched with the "new game patch", download both this one and the "emergency patch" when you are ready for a new playthrough

Please forgive my ignorance here, but how do I apply these patches. Do I just copy the "database" folder into the main game folder?
open the zip and drag all content into the main game folder. database will merge with database folder. log will be in main game folder
This is really odd since I cant see anyone else mention this but when I start as a Clear Sky character all of the base NPC's are not there, base in the swamp completely empty. Then I made my way into Skadovsk to see Beard and again once I arrived no one was there, completely empty of NPC's? Im confused as hell, do I need to reinstall the mod? Ive added the emergency patch to the original download and thats it.
I think you need to install New Game patch also.
You need both the new game patch AND the emergency patch. Then start over. The original release accidentally had a mutant in it which completely glitched the simulation system, sorry.

I'm still waiting for the RUS translation, I've been told it's delayed. Promised it will be included with V13, so I'm just adding more patches to it in the meantime hoping to release it soon with the RUS language included. Back in December I expected to release it within days, sorry

Russian translation, Goodwill counter, Item dismantling and big fixes included since V13. Always download the latest "emergency patch".
The "New game" patch fixes a gamebreaking bug, use that one + the "emergency patch". The "emergency patch" never needs a new game. the "new game" patch does.
So for everyone who is already playing Road To The North, you can update the emergency patch safely on your existing save file.
patched a script mistake shortly after release of v13,
it now displays the right gender when selecting a player icon in the main menu.
All the language has been moved from script to xml, accidentally swapped that gender value on the menu. Big update, but I'm pretty sure all else is fine. Re download the patch for that fix.

these patches only fix crashes.
adjusting the graphics settings to ultra crashes the game on some pcs which can't handle it.
I re uploaded the file including some fixes for the russian translation.

Do I have to start a new game to dismantle items? And how is it done?
EDIT: Oh, nevermind, I see the icon in the inventory to do it. So, we can only dismantle weapons, and I assume armor for now? I don't see much problem with that. I can just sell off the junk then.
My primary concern is how the dismantled parts work. We get spare pieces, which are useless by themselves, but 6 can be merged into a Weapon Spare Parts. Which sounds nice until one remembers that those can only be used with the highest tier, super-expensive repair kits. Greatly limits their use, imo.
Thanks for this great mod. I have a question about keys. My laptop ESC button doesnt work. I setting exit button F11 instead of ESC. Its work at other stalker games or mods. But doesnt work at this mod. What can i do? Best regards

Is it only me that has stretched out cat models? At distance the models look normal but when getting closer or looking through binocs they look like this Imgur.com

Edit: I fixed it by disabling tessellation and restarting game.
Please create an all-in-one patch to take V1.0 of your mod to the latest version. The current patch system of at least 3 different types of patches (new game, emergency, gender etc.) is very confusing.
Working on it, now it will be a repack + optional patch for existing players. I don't to expect to release a "new game patch" anymore
