Yeah, its big.
As mentioned, the original illustrations for the Kor Chokk were only showing the ship from a distance, so it was hard to figure out just how to detail something so massive... I turned to the alien ships from the movie Ender's Game, I liked the organic feel of their lattice structure and wanted to apply detailing such as this to the Chokk. I made connecting pieces over broad areas where domes would be connecting, and instead of just cylinders originally used by EvilleJedi for all the poles, I went with a more segmented type of structure that resembled stalagmites and stalactites that form in caves. This started to look interesting. I started to add rocky bumpy areas to the domes to give them more of an organic 3d look.... a mountain in space.... and I also began developing a detail set of thorns and tentacles to be added... but before I proceeded with adding those, I had an idea....
Collaboration brings about the best ideas. While my additions to the Kor Chokk were a great improvement...I knew it could be even better..., but I didn't entirely know how...

anyway ferrofluids and iron powder move pretty interestingly, some might even say alien-like... sort of easy to animate too, since they don't 'bend', just erect-deflate, rotate or move sideways. I find it more interesting than the usual tentacle stuff.
