TIE Heavy Bomber
An evolution of the older TIE Interdictor, the THB fullfilled the needs of the struggling Imperial Remnant to have a multi-use long range deployment craft that could perform reconnaissance missions, mine deployment, border patrol and assault missions. The THB featured 1 pair of chin mounted imperial lasers, 4 concussion missile launchers, 2 proton bomb deployers, space mine deployment abilites and shields, which helped compensate for its extra large frame.
The THB were used in small squadron numbers, and only deployed from the largest of capital ships. They were rare sites, but when they made an appearance, the enemy was sure to become quickly aware.
Special Ability:
- Bombing Run
- Space Mine Deployment

Revan did an excellent job continuing with the TIE fighter texture template. Revan has steadily been improving his texture skills throughout the TIE series of fighters, and as we conclude the remainder of the TIEs and my tutoring of his texturing skills, we soon hope to advance his skill to be able to work on some custom textures and development of his own templates for other factions and ships. Great job Revan :)
... and yes, I also did just allude to 2 of our upcoming secret new coding projects, Kad Venku and Wariscool have been extremely hard at work... we will be showcasing their new project very soon... the Bombing Run.......
The name this baby has in the tabletop X-wing game is "Tie Punisher", i think it fits.
the TIE interdictor, or, as i like to call it, the TIE DIEREBELSCUM. looks awesome!
I feel like if you were to ram this thing into an enemy capital ship in a suicide run. The capital ship would explode but not the bomber.
It would probably laugh while flying away as well....
This design is also interesting ;)

eh, the vong need a chance too :P
I want to see that in game...
Mmm, why did you make the wings so much thicker than the original I made? Moddb.com It looks a bit too thick imo, now they seem like shields, or armor, instead of solar wings.
Your model comes very close to the picture on wookieepedia: Vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net
I used these pictures as main reference:
Images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com
Starforge.info
Xwingminiaturesgame.com
When you compare my reference pictures with the one on wookieepedia you will notice that the frame around the solar panels is much smaller than on the pictures I used. So decided to modify the wing of the already finished TIE/sa until it fits for the TIE/IT. Burntstrobe and I already noticed that the wings of your TIE/sa were too thick. For changing the thickness of the wing a complete reconstruction would have been necessary. Because of this we decided that it would be not worth the time to do this.
Please don't get me wrong. You have done a great job on building the base models, they just needed some edits.
Too thick? Mmm, this is my TIE/sa: Moddb.com
here is another shot of it and the punisher: Moddb.com
This is the moddified, textured version: Moddb.com
I might have misunderstood, but you said my wings were thicker? My wings are thinner than on the textured versions, as is clearly visible, so I don't entirely understand what you mean. It might have been strobe moddified the wings after I sent him the models, made them thicker, forgot about the edits and he then sent you those models. Anyway in that case I still wonder why they were made so much thicker since it doesn't reflect the source material I used for mine anymore.
Doesn't make a huge difference, it's only a fighter, remember the scale of the large ships...
Alo viewer also distorts image due to perspective viewing ;)
I checked the original max file Strobe gave me and compared the old version wtih the modified. You are right, the wing of the new model is about 1/3 thicker than your wing. This must have happened when I edited the TIE/sa wing. I thought I did not change the thickness.
The reason why I decided to change your version is because the shape of the wing did not fit with the reference pictures I looked at. Especially when you look at the wing from the side.
Oh, in that case my bad for messing up with the reference :D
People used to fear the Skipray, but this, this is the bringer of all the nightmares of the darkest parts of the galaxy. But if the Chiss get a whole of it, may only the force save them
Looks absolutely fantastic...gives me chills down my spine....
Who the actual hell designed this thing.Any imperial pilot has better luck locking on to himself with all these extra parts
But nice ship :D
