Why the dislike for France?
These were typical game rules for YR multiplayer back in the day.
I agree. In my personal mod, Ripper Force II, I have removed France and Germany. They are replaced by the Ellipsis Network and Hexiron Corp, allied to the Yuri faction, which is now called the Global Phalanx. My Mod is fully spanish.
Back in the day players found the French Grand Cannon to be obscenely overpowered (Along with Yuri), making France a very difficult country to play against.
Nowadays most of the high-level competitive players have an understanding of how to deal with it (And Yuri) in a way that doesn't turn their hair gray, but the noobs still carry on the tradition.
Cause of the Grand Canon
Grand Cannons are available in all Allied Sub-faction.
Why no France? Because is now part of European Federation in this mod.
Why there is no Yuri? Because the mod consists of two factions only which are the Allies and the Soviets. However, there is PsiCorps troopers for the Soviet which is exclusive to Soviet Russia.
Yuri units can be obtain thru Neutral Secret Lab but it doesn't make sense if this mod is only focused on Allies and Soviets.
And does this mod has new stolen tech for both Allies and Soviet?
It has new stolen tech for both sides from different buildings.

Anyways, are those scrapped and unobtainable units or units from the old version?

Also Mammoth Tanks can be found in the 4-player map called "War Factory" which can be captured by one engineer in order to make it playable.
Hercules, Defender, and the Armadura are crate-asset only units along with the Yuri Mastermind.
boris is unobtainable
