In this modification, the player takes on the role of William the pirate. The rumor of an apparently heavily drunk old sailor, who one evening in a tavern bragged about his stories and alleged experiences, sent him on a long journey together with his captain Morgan: They sailed to a small island, far from the known Myrtan islands and coasts, ruled by an extremely wealthy prince should be, whose treasury overflows with gold and jewels. The crossing took several days, but it really existed - the island of Velen! Once there, and after they had the information they needed, they made a plan. It should be too simple... So simple that they were caught trying to break into the treasury and were immediately thrown into the dungeon. The verdict was decided on the same day: the execution of the two. Already the next morning it should happen.
Already in the early morning hours of the day of the execution, the prince had William brought to him. Unlike expected, he made him an offer. An offer he could not refuse if he wanted to save his life and that of his captain. He might not suspect anything about it yet, but if he would accept it, he would soon be the one who would decide the fate of all Velen ...

No matter on which platform you are playing this modification, we recommend you to install the latest Version of Union! This ensures better compatibility and better stability for Gothic 2, especially on newer os!
If you are having trouble with missing or wrong vo files in this mod, you should definitelly install it, since it fixes the problem!
Step 1: If not done yet, install Gothic 2 including the Add-On "The Night of the Raven". If possible, don't install it into the Programs (x86) or Programs folder of the system, since this could lead to problems! A possibility would be for example to create a folder called Games outside of this two folders and to install it in this one.
Step 2: Download the Add-On Patch 2.6 and install it into the Gothic 2 directory, in which you are planning to install the modification.
Step 3: Download the Report-Version 2.6.0.0 (NOT 1.30.0.0!) and install it into the Gothic 2 directory, in which you are planning to install the modification.
Step 4: Download the Playerkit 2.6f and install it into the Gothic 2 directory, in which you are planning to install the modification.
Step 5: Now download the installer of Version 2.1.0 which you can find here under files and execute it. If you are using a os newer then Windows XP, execute it as administrator! Now follow the installation instructions of the installer and install the modification into the Gothic 2 directory which you have prepared before.
Step 6: After the installation is completed, download the Patch (Version 2.1.2). To install it, you simply need to drag and drop the data folder, which is included in the zip-file, into the installation folder in which you have installed the modification.
Done! The installation of the modification is now completed and it can now be startet via Gothic 2 directory / System / GothicStarter.exe or alternatively via the automatically created shortcut in the Windows-Startmenu. It is important to always run it as administrator on a os newer then Windows XP!

Elusively Patched Unit is a project that has two main goals. First: to gather everything about Risen's bugs, discrepancies, errors, issues, and problems and solutions, fixes, and remedies for these in one forum like place. Second: to expand upon the now ancient Unofficial Patch v1.3 (it's the base for EPU!) and add new quality fixes, possibilities, and stuff that fits the game's general premise. Since a new, quite promising avenue opened up (right here), the future looks brighter than ever, thus you might want to pay attention. The mod might contain changes that will have to be refined, updated, and improved upon later stages of its development, but as it keeps close to the fandom's beloved lore, fans should find this to their liking.

The Gothic 3 mod was created to make cities more "alive" by adding new NPCs, quests and items. The Gothic modding scenes are all deeply interwoven with a huge amount of content that cross-pollinates and this mod is no different, featuring compatibilities and some built-in functionality supporting other popular community mods. Although not entirely available in English, much of the Gothic community are non-native English speakers and so for most this is unlikely to be a problem. For those unfamiliar with the languages provided, though, there's plenty of walkthroughs and guides in the community for mods of all shapes and sizes just like this one to help you through!
