This is definitely interesting. I have no idea how did you get hold of the alpha texture but i will not complain. Do you plan to do the whole game or just Khorines?
Thank you! :) Actually i found those textures inside of Gothic 2 itself, there were just unused and some of them were not 100% ready. Some of them needed some Work, to make it playable like this. It's not 100% like the Old Alpha-Screens as you can probably see. There were some Dark Areas on the Wall-Textures and some of those were not scaled properly. But the Resources for those Wall-Textures were in it as well so i remade those. I put in some effort to Fix this Graphical Mess. But i can't point out exactly what i did, i didn't have a list. :D
There are even more unused Textures i didn't used for now and were not seen in any screens before. So i have to consider where they were used or were planed to be used. But yes there is a plan in my mind to make the Landscape look Alpha-ish/Gothic1-ish as well. I will post it here when it's ready, but it will take some time.
Color me interested. It's gonna be interesting i have a hard time imagine G2 more gray like G1. Well take your time as you can see the interest is all time high :D
Thank you! I'll take my time i promise! :D It's not that easy i put many thoughts into it already, but it's doable and i'll guess it won't take that much time to do so, but i want to be 100% sure i'll use the right Textures for the right Place. The Good thing is many Places in Gothic 1 have awesome textures which could be used for places in G2, that would fit perfectly to the Alpha City, and that's exactly my plan. It will be compatible with every mod. :) But thank you i appreciate your interest! :) :D
