The Living Saint's description says that the player can only have 3 of them... I built 4 (and can build more)

I think there's a certain type of ability that needs a nerf, since i haven't played the Sisters of Battle i don't remember the name but i think the confessor activates it, not pretty sure, the animation fx i do remember is that all of the battle sisters and i think celestian squads aswell, start shooting holy lightnings and well the other day i was playing vs them as Space Marines and basically my Terminators and predators get decimated by it, so if it's possible please nerf it.

I'll have to investigate that one ability and the ucs description is a simple fix.

@AraghastX I know exactly what you are talking about. The missionaries have an ability called "Holy Fury" (or something like that) which makes all surrounding battle sisters shoot holy flames instead of their normal weapons. It is very overpowered and needs a massive nerf.

The Arch Angel combined with several Living Saints is simply an unbeatable force. Nerf accordingly please :)

Arch angel alone is unbeatable :p but it takes so freaking long to make it god-like that i think it can be countered with early rush with shrine of living saint as primary target

Ummm, the Missionary ability is called "Touch of the Emperor" (gigitty) and it WILL decimate infantry... It is designed to do that, vehices and buildings however, barely take any added damage

SoB have been a rape fest since the beginning of the release. However it warms my heart that you guys put a lot of life into a forgotten and violated race of Games-workshop. Their late-game is too strong, Eldar rely on rushing with I do but heres the thing. Their towers have immense range and destroy infantry and if I use vehicles then celestians destroy them instantly. You have to nerf one of them and even if you do nerf the range on the towers regardless because its ridiculous if a their tower that shoots fire can snipe my guys off a cliff(which they do)

Now and again my commander would die and I would be unable to remake her, it would just be 'greyed out' and say "limit 1" as if she was still alive (and yes I'm 100% sure she's dead).

Sometimes the same happens with the arch angel too , i cannot build her for some reasons (even if she was never summoned before)

@ Bender: Actually they aren't the same, they're just very similar. the Lightning Fighter is the "standard" version, while the Lightning Strike carries more missiles and stuff, acting for heavier air-to-ground support.

It feel as though their basic infantry is lacking in terms of combat prowess and durability. In term of sheer strength and power, Sisters of Battle Infantry should be below Space Marine and yet above Guardsmen. It's good they get so many flamers and heavy bolters, but it seem as they lack in durability and ability to inflict as much damage with their standard bolters.

I would really like to see a return of the SOB heroine who was able to upgrade her armor to Angelic Arms. That idea was just too cool, I was sad to see it missing in 1.72. Other than that, I just played a match as the SOB on a two player map, and I think that the Touch of the Emperor ability is alright. Something to help balance out the divine smiting ability might be to make the Faith cost a touch higher, so that it can be used only seldomly.

The sisters could use some earlier melee capability. Perhaps a digital weapons upgrade for Celestians or Serpahim. Or a chainsword and bolt pistol upgrade for Battle Sisters. Missionaries could also use a slight increase to price or build time because of how easy it is to amass large amounts of them and the fact that they can cap points and cause disruption. (come to think of it some sort of missionary quad like an earlier weaker version of the commisar cadets could fill that melee unit void)

In so many games, a chaos or SM player rush motorbike and put down one of my recent capture point, this bikes are almost invulnerable to any sister unit at early, only with three squads i can do a decent dmg to it, too late for the point capture race. My only solution at the moment are the tanks traps, but everything became a random bet...
Do sisters need a light tank scout unit?? missionaries are good, but too slow to mimic these tactics
Do they need some armor piercing damg at t0? i see how necrons bugs destroy thats bikes in a few seconds...

Besides this, i think they are competent and funny to play with.

But i'll play orks agaisnt motorized enemies from now.... xDDDD

Im asking for a friend I don't even play with sisters anymore

??? Ok I had an army Repinta's , legion superiors ,celestian , and penitent engines and lightning strikes 4 angles and fully upgraded Arch angle VS. Piriah sqauds a Phalanx and Orb

Well troops died in O..point no seconds

Penitent engines did NOTHING but die
Angles only lasted longer then the troops because they resurrect just severed as fodder

*none of his things died* Troops came right back so yea...

AND all of this effort to only the destroy the main Phalanx monolith and some sqauds that insta came back
Orb was un-killable and nuked my base killed off all remaining vehicles with that yellow beam and they pretty much steamed rolled
turrets were not a problem and random vehicle's,troops out of desperation and an angle I could muster up got decimated really fast
I'm pretty new to sisters so I'll just say
All im saying is This seems unbalanced you know? I mean the sister titan system VS. others is just unfair that Arch angle cannot stand up against Orb and Phalanx (didn't even mention regular angles because they die as fast as troops and are not that useful)
My solution give me more Arch angles :] or at least 1 more.

and i've even seen Max power arch angle vs reaver's but terminators drop down and eat her alive while the other reaver kills her off
Please at least tell me how you balanced this or how this is suppose to work???

hi

the sister are great. very fragile at the first time, but with powerful units quite quickly.

how ever I think the archangel is too powerful.
I think it's a global concept : a Hand to Hand, almost normal size (compare to others), quick moving, and qucik striking titan, it's just too much.
I mean, this should be forbiden for any race.

the titans _are_ monsters. I get that.

the shooting titans should have a minimum range, which should make them vulnerable if left alone and engaged.
the archangel cleans almost anymap of the campaign on its own, just in as long as it takes to walkthrough it..
it's fun. but...

anyway... nobody says you have to build it :)... of course..
