Why don't you make Turkey use the custom African set that you have? It would be far more appropiate rather than the German set.

Not me, Dagovax - and i'm not sure what culture Turkey has. If they share culture with Germany they will automatically get German cities. That is also why we can't have swastikas in the cities, because the cities will be shared between all the factions using that culture.

It should be possible to have different cultures for buildings and units. For example, in the original RTW Carthage and Parthia had the same building style but had different unit styles. Maybe it would be possible to put Turkey in the African culture for buildings but share the German unit set?

Buildings in the EDB and custom cities are different things though.

Turkey is member of the arabic culture, so they wont have german (or european) buildings inside the settlements. As well does spain have the french/italian buildings

Ah, so Italy and Germany do not share? Then Rome and Berlin could both be custom cities?

Isn't France a part of the Roman culture due to being a Roman-based faction?

Turkey was neutral in ww2, so is far more accurate to give them the African set.

Yes, as i said i do not remember what culture they have. They need to have the culture in use by the African settlements to get their custom cities - but that would also mean their language will be that of the culture they use.

They might have that culture, or they might have the German - i'm not sure.

Description

This is what a German Reich Large Town will look like in the distance when the Soviet tanks are coming..

Large Town is still not completed and as such Dagovax just sent me this preview from the distance.

Edit:

In Rome: Total War, unlike in Medieval 2: Total War, cities are culture-based - and not faction-based, this means that all the factions sharing Germanys culture will get the custom settlements based on Germany's architecture,

I'd say this would be Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Spain and possibly Turkey but i'm not sure about them. Vichy France maybe.. This also means that we need to share custom settlements between the Asian nations (Japan is most likely to be the base), between the Roman-based factions (British, UN, USA and French Republic) and i do hope the US is the base there. Britain has assets throughout the world so maybe their Commonwealth areas will have cities based on their locale.

In any case, this means that Rome won't have a unique city, while Berlin will have a unique city instead. As for the Soviets i think they are separate from the other allies. The ones sharing language usually are sharing culture as well. Not sure about Paris if we can have both Paris and Washington -we'll see, but otherwise we'd get generic American cities at least.
