Today is release of the custom story for Amnesia: The Dark Descent!
It might be my first custom story for Amnesia, but I think I did pretty well, since
I already have some experience in modding.
But enough the introducing words:

No need to hope for it. This one was realsed 2011. We are less then 1.5 month away from 2014 and chapter 2 is still not out. Probably never will either.
so what? the atonement was abandonned in 2014 and was restarted in 2020 (or 2021 idk i forgot), never doubt something.

That's a rare exception. In most cases, if something is abandoned for several years, it will never be completed. Not impossible (hence why I wrote "probably never will") but extremely unlikely. The author of this mod has been offline for nearly a decade and the community here is a tiny fraction of what it used to be
But, by all means, keep your hopes up if you want to
