The Great War mod is a total conversion modification for Napoleon: Total War. It creates an authentic representation of World War 1-era tactics, strategies and general warfare within the game. Including stunning new visuals that include entirely new models and textures for equipment, vehicles and more, the mod immerses you into the era with brand new gameplay unlike anything you've experienced in Total War before.
We have added new campaign options for all factions. There is now the normal historical campaign and a new ahistorical campaign which removes all region specific requirements allowing the player to play an ahistorical campaign.
In the image shown you can now play as the Kingdom of Italy and choose the ahistorical option so you can join the central powers while still meeting all campaign victory conditions.
But do diplomatic relations change if A-historical is selected? So that, for example, Germany will not declare war on Italy?
