Iggh windows 95/98 on that ancient computer... :)

Lovely room. Perhaps lacking a bit on the personality factor.. Some family pictures, or perhaps some official Black Mesa advertisements. Or how about a duty roster for that secpost hanging near that plant?

This is a checkpoint on the way to the dormitory, so there would be shifts in place. Not a lot of scope for personalisation.

Bear in mind that this is only showing 1.5 walls in this little office, but there is a whiteboard, another desk and some storage lockers out of shot. :D

Edit: I was going to say that there is a little keypad out of shot for the door, as you pointed it out previously, but I now realise that it is very much IN shot.

Some HVAC engineers would say that the ventilation shaft is misplaced and too large xD.

The size couldn't be more appropriate. You know, vent ducts have another important functionality in the Half-Life universe: the main character and some headcrabs are supposed to use it as way to go around :)

This discussion could also inspire a funny dialog about the duct shafts in the game.

Imagine working on your computer and behind it a freaking huge air vent, I will be paranoid looking for something lurking on it

Don't look for something you don't want to find!

but... maybe do look for things that might kill you, yeah.

Description

So here it is, the first update of 2020, the year of The Core.

Just a few shots of areas that are currently in the works, one complete, the others work in progress.

A lot of work has been done since the pre-alpha testing in Autumn 2019 and we continue to make The Core a solid, polished and enjoyable experience.

While we are still aiming for the September 30th release, there are still maps that are still in the early stages of development, but progress is promising.

Stay tuned for more updates in the near future.
