In Steam Racers - a mod for Unreal Tournament 3 - you get to experience the joyful madness of steam punk in a completely new way. With four unique steam-powered vehicles, players must either race or fight their way to victory or choose any route in between. Gun down your opponents with the tank-like Scotch Boiler, navigate easily with the floating Futuramobile 1900 or outrace the competition with the most unique invention of them all, the Monowheel. The Make Something Unreal Contest has come to a close and the winners have been announced, it's great to see some of most amazing mods finally getting noticed for the hard work they do. Did you favorite win?

Unfortunately, the mod does not work anymore with a current UT3 release.
We had tried to play it via LAN (listen server), but after joining always crashes everything.

I'v all ways liked this. but when i had this installed i always had to run a server. thats whats killing ya. i don't know if theirs servers now because i last played 6 months ago and i don't wanna reinstall if no servers. And to help you make a group on steam, if you don't in a month I will

PS3 cook isn't going to happen. While UT3 *does* support total conversions, it's not friendly to them. For example, it doesn't support at all non UT3 sound effects. Blehhhk

An UDK port will take a while.
The biggest hurdle is to create assets for all used UT3 content (static meshes). We will start working on this in 2010 (after exams).
