Very nice :) Was that delay between the cloak going down and turbolasers firing meant to be that long?

No, that was me being stupid. I turned auto attack off on the Night Hammer so that it wouldn't kill the Strike Cruiser before it cloaked.

I am doing my happy dance now. And I will continue to do this until the release. OR until I fall asleep, whichever comes first...

Nice...is that sound effect lifted from Knights of the Old Republic?

You're good. ;-) While I modified it a bit to make it sound slightly different and to make the cloak sound last longer, it is indeed from Kotor. Mainly because its the only Star Wars cloaking sound I could think of.

There is the one from Empire at War, but I appreciate the attempt at diversity. The four RTS games (Empire at War, Rebellion, Galactic Battlegrounds, Force Commander) tend to be gold mines for SW modders, so it's nice to hear something different.

Yeah, but to be honest I barely remembered that a few Consortium units could cloak. And I'm not a very big fan of them anyways.

Yeah, I've played all of those except Rebellion. To be honest I kind of wish I could find my Galactic Battlegrounds CD key for some of those voice overs. :p

Oh I am really going to enjoy using the Night Hammer, ambushes and strikes on worlds deep behind enemy territory, here I come. I really like the sound of the cloaking effect as well.

Now if the Night Hammer had the ability to cloak nearby support craft it would definitely be overpowered, which makes the player (depending on the strategy) be careful with their titan if they decide to take it out alone. Especially since the Night Hammer won't retain its levels upon destruction. Imagine losing a level 10 Night Hammer, that would be a serious blow to morale.

Is that cloaking sound from the MMORPG Knights of the Old Republic or the original PC Games? I've only played the PC games and it's been a while. Excellent update GoaFan77, really looking forward to playing the second version of Alpha, play a few games as the Imperial Warlords and see how they stack up against the Galactic Empire.

The MMORPG is just called "The Old Republic" or ToR for short. Kotor is "Knights of the Old Republic" and means the 2003 award winning RPG.

Yeah, the 2003 RPG is the one I played and enjoyed immensely, and unlike KOTOR II, it gave you seem real consequences for choosing the dark side. Such as having to kill off most of your companions.

Just wasn't sure because I've never played the MMORPG, and could never remember the actual name for the game.

Amen! KotORII+TSLRCM=almost best Star Wars game ever made. (I say "almost" in deference to Rogue Squadron and Empire at War.)

How fast do SSDs move in gravity wells? That is to say, could one "kite" interdictors and in effect trap it in a gravity well?

Well they're obviously one of the slower ships. Most Interdictors cannot move while they are preventing hyperspace jump though, so eventually it would be able to get out of range unless you had multiple Interdictors.
