Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Report RSS Update on the Release of Alpha 2

A small bug has slightly delayed the release of Alpha 2.

Posted by on

Hello everyone,

As some of you have noticed, the download of Star Wars: Interregnum Alpha 2 has been temporarily removed because of a few users have reported strange issues with the Warlord's hero units. I was able to confirm at least one of these cases, involving Admiral Harrsk, was genuinely the result of a bug, and I re-uploaded the release with this issue fixed so that anyone else who downloaded it would not have this problem.

Unfortunately I did not realize that this would force Moddb to authorize the download yet again, even though literally only a few characters in one file has been changed. Yet I can understand Moddb's standards to ensure all downloads on their site are clean.

I am extremely sorry for this inconvenience, and I will release a proper release news article once the upload is live again and I'm confident these issues are corrected. If you have already downloaded Alpha 2 before this, you can download a hotfix here. If anyone has had instances of heroes besides Harrsk acting up, I would appreciate you making a post in the forums with as many details as you can provide, since he was the only one I had a problem with.

Thank you for your understanding, and hopefully the release will be reauthorized soon!

Edit: The revised download now seems to be online. However, I would recommend a mirror besides Gamefront, it seems to take a lot longer for an update to be revised there.

I'm guessing it was about his spawning multiple times? If so, he's the only one I've noticed it with.

Yes. Screed and Thrawn look fine to me and worked fine when I tested it multiple times, but one or two people have told me otherwise.

great new version!!! just love the Alpha 2 :)

only have one complaint though.... what is whit the 700% markup in time to hyper out of a system? I thought it might be cause i had build some gravity well generators and they would also slow me down from hypering, but at all systems where i have a star destroyer ship/fleet, I have to wait a long time to hyper out and when i put the cursor over the ship it states that the Phase Jump time is increased by 700%.

But I LOVE to Kuat type worlds!!!! excellent!! They might be a bit difficult to take control of but once you do and u take control of a super star destroyer yard..... WOW!!! it's a very nice counter balance to the TEC, Vasari, and Advent massive fleets. Makes up for the empire & warlords NOT having a super weapon.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the Alpha 2 version :P

Well, that can be caused by either Phase Jump Inhibitor structures OR AI Empire Interdictor units (they aren't smart enough to use the 'canon' version human players have). Are you certain there are no enemies in the gravity well?

And shhh, I was hoping to keep that a secret a bit longer. :p Also, the Empire and Warlords DO have a Super Weapon, its called the Galaxy Gun and you can find it in your Defense tree. It's similar to the Novalith cannon but kills virtually all the population instead of long debuffs.

yes, there were enemies in the systems. now about the gravity well generators, would mine also give me the 700% build up item?

No, in fact it is suppose to be an AI only feature, you can only get access to it by cheating in the dev.exe. :p And it will only affect enemy units even if you did get it unlocked. So it sounds like there's an enemy Immobolizer-418 cruiser, an Interdictor Star Destroyer, the hero unit Captain Rogriss or a Gravity Well Station/PJI in the gravity well.

Were there any balance changes made in a addition to adding the Warlords faction?

Oh yes, there was a handful of bug fixes and balance changes. I think I listed some of the most important ones in the changelog text file that will be in the mod folder with the readme, but its possible others went undocumented.
