God shes beautiful, I know the Secutor is the successor design to the Venator but I would love to see like other off-shoots of the Venator line to appear. Like a Tector version of a Venator that removes all it's carrier ability for a sheer brawler ship.

Looks like that's more or less what the ancient Mandalorian version was, if you check that Wookiepedia article. Sadly it is of course way out of the timeline for this mod.

Yeah I remember that, it is used in some RAW mods it's pretty neat. Would of still been cool to see a modern take on it.

The Mandalorians are going to replace the Pirates, right? Does that mean they'll just be a raiding force that doesn't build anything, or can you modify their behaviour as Pirates?

Eventually they might get more complicated, but by default they'll be similar to the pirates. We may release a minimod later to make them more challenging to players that want that.

Sounds great, I'll probably be one of those players

So does that mean they will be unplayable?

Description

The signature "Dagger" design of the Imperial Navy's Star Destroyers is actually a very ancient one, going back thousands of years. The Sith Empire's of old were the first to use it extensively, but throughout the years even the Mandalorians were known to use a few (one even looked nearly identical to a Venator). (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalorian_warship_(Venator-style))

As such it is no surprise to see a number of Venator's in the Mandalorian fleet. Not only are they relatively easy to come by for a ship of that size due to being Clone Wars surplus, but many former Clones who served on them have since joined the Mandalorian cause.

As the primary carriers in the Mandalorian fleet, most of the Syck and Kimogila starfighters are carried on these vessels, where they can support large task forces. The Venator's dual turbolaser batteries, anti-ship missiles and the ever powerful SPHA-T beam ensure's these ships can carry their own weight in a brawl too, which is a very important consideration for most Mandalorian battle tactics.
