Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
Hello everyone,
As many of you noticed, there was a new Sins patch, 1.85, and a surprise DLC released today. Alpha 3.2, which was just released last week, does not work with the 1.85 version. HOWEVER, those of you on steam can go back to 1.84 to play Interregnum by right clicking on Sins in your library, hit properties, go to the betas tab, then opt into the v1.84 branch to go back to 1.84.
If you have GoG I'm afraid I have no idea how this affects you, but hopefully you have a similar capability if it does.
While we are already at work updating the mod (again), given that a work around exists to use the current version, we will probably take a few days to make sure the mod fully supports the new DLC features and perhaps even make some more use of them. ;-) So look forward to a second content update shortly (if you get the DLC anyways).
I realize some of you are upset at Stardock/Ironclad for putting the updates so close together, however part of the reason Sins is so great is that it gains new under the hood capabilities with each update. So while they may bring a day or two of confusion and chaos, updates also allow mods to become even better and I actually thank the devs for it, even if it does make my life more complicated. :p

they said new patch also got new DLC
i want to know: what's the dlc content? =P
More depth for the militia and pirates apparently. Forums.sinsofasolarempire.com
Store.steampowered.com
People owning the game on gog.com can only roll back to previous versions via the Galaxy client, or by not updating, provided they are managing their install manually.
gog Galaxy provides a settings tab for each game where you can roll back to previous versions. You can toggle auto update from there as well.
i found out that if you right click the game name on the left side of the library screen on steam, and go to properties, then to betas, you can go back to any previous version that you want. it was like a revelation to me.
Not any version, just some of the more important latest version. That's something Stardock is choosing to do for mod players, not anything steam usually supports.
ah, i see. ive only been playing sins for the past 2 years, so 1.80, 1.82, and the more recent updates were the only one i knew were in existence.
This dlc sounds like it opens up a **** ton more oppurtunity to have larger diplomacy with militia factions.
I never thought I can have some influence to militia as Advent Rebel... unless thought unity :P
Did the devs die and suddenly get resurrected 3 weeks ago? What's with all the new updates, and now a new DLC?
Disclaimer: I am most definitely not complaining, I'm loving all of this but it's kind of taking me by surprise.
I i just hope this might mean sins 2 could happen
I do too. Imagine the graphics potential, although that's the least of it. Maybe a new race, the mechanical aspects would be limitless... Ashes of the Singularity-scale warfare in space
how do we use the "Dev.exe" to play the game with any mods?
Start the dev.exe once, and it will create a new mod folder for the dev to use.
