Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
This is the new mesh and textures for the Defender class. It will be serving as a carrier in the New Republic fleet.
The mesh was sourced from the Yuuzhan Vong at War mod for Empire at War. The mesh has been cleaned up and a new, custom set of UVs and textures has been created.

since using new meshes, why not use the Corillian Frigate, Destroyer and Battlecruiser from the same said mod, instead of just the tiny corvettes when it comes to the Minor Races
Well, in the Interregnum lore Corellia is still occupied by the Empire. The minor faction is a resistance movement with ties to CEC, but Corellia's large shipyards are making Star Destroyers and other Imperial vessels.
thats too bad i would've love to see the battlecruisers :(
disapointed but I understand
this looks ready for any battle :)
Well it's a carrier, so I'd recommend not sending it into the middle of a firefight. ;)
Wouldn't we be having the Endurance for republic carriers? Not that it's listed complement is much better then the Nebula it's based on.
This is a cruiser, not a capital ship. The Endurance capital class carrier has already had renders posted a while back.
Wait, is it akin to a vanilla carrier or does it have limited weapons? After all, it has the word "assault" in its name...
That's really up to Goa but I'm not sure why it has "assault" in the official title. It's only armed with anti-fighter turrets in canon, which is pretty light weaponry given the title.
Yeah, in game we'll just call it a "Defender Carrier". Assault carrier is sometimes used to describe the MC40/Liberator that are heavy cruiser/carrier hybrids.
It's like a vanilla carrier, unarmed for gameplay purposes. Like the Rebels though, New Republic carriers double as siege units.
Shame. It looks a lot more aggressive than other carriers.
Oh well...
how much sqaudrons will it hold? 2-3 probs
The standard 2 for a carrier cruiser.
yeah, the Defender Carrier was one of the hardest ships to fit in the NCMP.
iirc, Strobe had to really play around with the model to match it up with the Majestic Cruiser.
the NCMP was a mess.
Absolutely. We did not even try to get the Hajen to work out per the sketch, as you can see from the previous teaser. xD
Looks funky. But, cool-funky.
We don't make the designs, but Dolynick did a great job of bringing this one to life, and make it look as good as it could be.
