Star Trek: Armada III begins with the first stirrings of the Dominion War and allows players to take command of five unique factions, the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union/Dominion Alliance, and the Borg Collective. Explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before.
"Brave words. I've heard them before. From thousands of species, across thousands of worlds, since long before you were created. But now, they are all Borg."
- The Borg Queen, on the irrelevance of bravado in the face of the Collective
The origins of the Borg remain shrouded in mystery. While their homeworld, founding species and the circumstances of their emergence are unknown, the Borg originated in the Delta Quadrant, and have existed for over a millennium. In that time, they have spread like a disease across their native quadrant, borne forth in their immense, geometric vessels, evolving rapidly in a quest to one day achieve perfection.
The Borg are made up of uncountable drones, each one formerly an individual being taken by force from thousands of species across the galaxy and cybernetically modified to perform a specific role. Every Borg drone, every ship, every piece of equipment is interconnected via cybernetic implants into a technological hive mind - the Collective. Numberless thoughts come together in perfect harmony to form a single, unified and irresistible will. The Collective functions as a single entity, far beyond the irrelevant desires, moralities and fears of small, singular beings. At the centre of it all resides the Borg Queen, the focal point for quadrillions of thoughts and a living manifestation of the Collective itself, embodying its will and desire.
Technologically the Borg are without peer. Incorporating the knowledge, innovations and distinctiveness of thousands of species across the galaxy into themselves, the Borg have no equals for technological sophistication and sheer overwhelming power.
For all their unknowns, one thing is certain - the Borg are a terrifying force in the galaxy, responsible for the destruction of countless civilisations. For all the determination of their enemies, there is a simple truth in the Borg's most well known axiom - Resistance, though it may delay the inevitable, is ultimately futile.

Starfleet never faulters in path of its duty! Especially when it comes to bringing chaos into order! Miranda squadron 999, attack!
WE ARE THE BLORG. WE'VE COME TO BLORG UP YOUR SH*T. PREPARE TO BE COMPLETELY BLORG'D. RESISTANCE. IS. HILARIOUS!
We are the Bjorg. Lower your cholesterol and surrender your gluten. Unhealthy eating is futile.

Excuse me while I leave the quadrant.
Why is it always space cubes or space spheres that are absolutely totally evil. What does Sci-Fi has against Geometry objects.
