Description
The updated MISERY 2.0 exe installer will provide you with a new option:
- Standard game start
- Alternate game start
The alternate game start (referred to as 'the Black Road') generates a more challenging setup which is now revealed here to some extend.
The differences that are displayed here are the only differences from your standard game start.
Credit and props to Cromm Cruac for the creation of a perfect exe installer for MISERY version 2.0.

I may not be worthy but Ill play it anyway! Misery adds enough challenge for me as is. While it's cool to have the option I will be passing on it.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is an acronym and to my knowledge an acronym usually consists of capital letters. I presume to are referring to Stalkers where S.T.A.L.K.E.R. means "Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers and Robbers."
But yea i agree with you/all of you. Will you choose the road less traveled by?

What type of character will you be? Can you still select assaulter and go the black road way? This will make stalker fun for me again :D
You choose your USS class and then you choose the way you enter the Zone.

Please tell me there is more to each body than three bullets and a penny now, it will be ridiculously annoying if I finally kill those bandits with the knife and loot them, only to find they have six bullets, a broken pistol and three dollars between them.

This is better than before. Before you start with a specialist weapon that is supposed to be unique to the start and beneficial to use over any old junk you find. What really happens for me is I immediately store the expensive and unique weapon, pick up some old junk and trudge onward. By Yanov I already have primo equipment and at the time rounds become plentiful enough to use the original starting gun, it has long become worse than what I already use.

Well - thx for that of course but you got it a little wrong.
This idea would never work for vanilla economy and progression model as the only thing that it would change would be let's say first ~1h of gameplay before you're able to get on the old tracks again and start to earn money easly - soon after which entire economy gets quite pointless...
Here, it's the other way around: we've first rebuilt the entire economy from scratch and made it important and challenging factor all the way to the end of the game - and only after that we've figured out that 'hey, it would damn cool now to actually start bare-bones'.

I don't see how this fits in lore wise, I just can't dig it, cool option though. If it does fit in, in any way, can someone explain to me?
Maybe you ran into some sort of psy amomaly, and dropped everything in confusion.
Maybe a controller "psy-mugged" you for its own amusement (they are intelligent after all, not just animals).
The Zone does things to the mind...
or as you arrive at 6 am maybe bandits knocked you senceless at night and took all your stuff :P that is an effective first lesson in the zone :D
i like that idea! then you could maybe find your stuff in the hands of some kick-*** bandits in jupiter or pripyat

Will there be any way to obtain the specialist weapons later on? I rather liked the sniper...
This is optional, you can still start with all the specialist gear if you want. If you do start like this, i'm pretty sure you will still be able to find everything you will need, even the sniper. (In 1.1 i found a mosin nagant under a tree when playing assaulter.)
