Yet Another Campfire Saving addon (with base saving, emergency saving and MCM support)
Anomaly has a campfire saving mode for players seeking an extra challenge, but the vanilla implementation has some annoying shortcomings.
There are a number of custom addons trying to address the issues with campfire saving, but they all leave something to be desired.
This is where YACS™ steps in, with faction base support and emergency save and quit feature.
Features
- You can save within neutral and friendly bases, as long as you are protected from emissions.
- You can also save in the homes of certain important NPCs. Optional.
- After five minutes of gameplay, you will be awarded a Mommy Token that allows you to save and quit.
- Campfires need to be lit before you can save. Carry matchboxes.
- Nearby campfire detection radius is extended, so you can save without burning your feet.
- High compatibility. Plays nicely with vanilla campfire mode and without it.
- New game is not needed. You can activate campfire saving on an existing "standard" game.
- You can safely deactivate campfire saving by removing the addon from a standard game. Ya noob.
- You can turn campfire mode on and off on the fly via MCM.
Base Saving
Vanilla campfire saving mode does not allow you to save within safe bases. When you come back home from a long day, you have to look for a campfire or a bed within the base to be able to save. YACS looks at the smart terrains list in vanilla configs and tries to determine if you are near a base location friendly to your character's faction. If you are in an enclosed base building that provides protection from emissions, you are allowed to save freely without a nearby campfire. Now you can save in Skadovsk before you unload your hard-earned loot at Owl's place.
Optional: Other factions will allow you to save in their bases as long as you have neutral or good relations with them. As a Loner, you can now save in Freedom base if you haven't pissed them off.
Sanctuary Saving
There are some powerful individuals in the Zone and even though their places of residence do not technically count as "bases", they will offer you shelter if they are not downright hostile. Offering two levels of difficulty.
Note: At the moment, there are only three such sanctuaries. You will probably not have much trouble guessing where those are. Suggestions for any additional sanctuaries will be much appreciated.
Mommy Token
Free saving feature to accommodate players with limited or irregular screen time. If you have a kid/cat/dog/rock to take care of, you are a Mommy (or a Daddy) and you should be able to switch from hardcore stalker mode to hardcore mommy mode at a moment's notice. After five minutes of gameplay, YACS awards a free Mommy Token (or a Daddy Token, configurable) which allows you to save and quit without a nearby campfire and let you attend Real Life™ issues without losing progress. Just hit Shift + F5 and go stop your kid eating from the cat's litterbox.
Emergency saving feature is also supported in Agony Mode and Timer Mode, even when campfire saving is not active.

I wish i want to be forced to go out in the night when the character is well rested and i don't want to control the time that pass when i sleep, instead i wish that would be randomly
Not sure what you're asking to be honest. All the features you listed are already implemented by the addon you linked.
for some reason that addon doesn't work well, the sleep system allows you to sleep multiple times in a row so you can still evade night if you're tired enough
I see. Well, I cannot "fix" other people's mods and even then, It appears that going back to sleep is a feature the author implemented intentionally. They even address this subject in their changelog.
This is quite a different type of question, but is it possible to make deployable campfires? It'd work like the tents.
I'd love to scatter some campfires across the bar. I mean why would they leave it all in darkness.
That is something I am planning to look into. Fingers crossed.
Edit: turns out, Anomaly does not have a campfire object that I can spawn. This involves adding a new custom model and this is outside my abilities and the scope of this addon for now.
As someone who plays with Agony and Campfires turned on, some things annoyed me. Looking for a fire pit inside a base was one of them, and so is the ridiculously close save range. Installing this is a no-brainer, and I appreciate it.

It would probably be best to uninstall the other one, I haven't tested compatibility with all other campfire addons.

Yanov Station is actually a safe zone, but it might not be welcoming *your* faction. What are you?

I was considering "tolerating" neutral factions too, but a Merc would still not be welcome in Yanov. Can you even set foot in there without murdering everybody?
P.S. Disguise would not help, because the addon evaluates the real faction only. I will think about this.

Please turn on token notifications and make sure you have actually earned your Mommy Token.
You have to wait for 5 minutes before you can use Shift + F5.
Edit: Timer and Agony modes are also supported now.
The "Save at base" Option is compatible with Warfare ?
I mean if i'm a Loner and my Faction Capture the Palace of Culture in Pripyat will I be allow to Save
here ?
With this the exploration of the Northen map will be much enjoyable with campfire saving, because on some map Campfire are hard to find.
I have never tested in Warfare mode but I don't think capturing a hostile base will allow you to save freely, because the base affiliations are determined by looking at the static values from the vanilla config files.
I will consider looking into dynamic relations.

So you basically just ruined the whole mod, this was all great but if you can just save after 5 minutes theres absolutely no use for campfire saving, we have timer mode for that, anyone who cant go for more than 10 to 15 minutes without saving, just shouldnt be playing campfire mode, theres enough game modes out there

Also any mommy or daddy that has to give so much attention to their kid should just PAUSE the game instead of saving, or should not be playing at all, there is no need at all for these tokens
Would you also like me to disable the console for you? You can open it and type "save filename" regardless of any active hardcore saving modes, and now that you know this, how on earth are you going to resist the urge to cheat?
At some point, you'll have to take some responsibility for your über-hardcore leeter-than-thou playthrough, because I can't always be around to smack your hand.

I dont use the console at all, its jist that i ise f4 from time to time and i dont want to save by acvident, that wasnt the point of my post tho, dont you think its weird that you added the option to xhoose between a mommy or a daddy but not the choice to play campfire mode the way it was intended to be played, this has nothing to do with campfire mode anymore

Like hey, I just tested it: It's save and quit. So unless you want to ******* reboot the entire game every single time for the sake of save-scumming (which is more on you then anyone else really) it's totally fine.
