Yup. No clue why it was removed. Anyways, rather than completely disable them, it would be nice to have % where you could get one, random condition.

I know its all for the sake of progression, but bruh- if you tell me I cant undress the dead body of a crazy man who listens to a stone and get a robot body, I sincerely feel *UNINMERSED*

Thx btw

I'm not sure what you're talking about RE removal, but thank you for your comments. A random chance based drop would be little different from the current system, and would probably be more annoying than simply disabling armour drops full stop. There is enough randomness in Anomaly as it is. This addon simply restores a choice that would otherwise remain unavailable.

Now we have like 50%, or something like that. I was thinking about 0.5% or less for game to drop a suit / headgear. However, i'll look into it myself when I have time, unless someone has the same idea before hehe

In discussions about this on the discord server, it was felt that a chance-based system, but with greatly reduced chances, would not solve the problem, as some playthroughs will still produce a Nosorog on day 1. But I would encourage you to release something so that people can try it out.

He means that the armor drop is akin to taking the armor off a dead body. Simple really. This mod simply removes a semblance of realism from the game. Fine if you want it. Not for me though.

What I did was to remove some of the (;) symbols randomly in the death_outfits.ltx. I just did not do that for exo's. So after 50+ hours in game I got 2 renegade armors, 2 military suits, 1 brown coat, 1 heavy brown coat, 2 bandit jackets and a Skat-9. Oh and a helmet. The first one was a heavy coat and I got it after 10 hours of gaming.

Thanks!

It was kind of ridiculous to get a Skat-9 and Sphere-M12 15 minutes into the game from a soldier, if nothing else you could just sell armor for a ton of money. This makes the game much more "STALKER-ish" in the early to mid stages.

Thank you. This was exactly the idea.

I feel kind of stupid.
Doesn't armour already drop at way too low a condition to be useful?
Repairing it would generally cost as much as buying the suit yourself, you are unlikely to be able to afford the maintenance costs early game and, in the case of Exoskeletons/ Nosorogs, they're too unwieldy without having gotten the "Mechanized Warfare" achievement and a tonne of RU beforehand.

The most I've used for armour drops is repairing some of the lower-end suits (like Sunrise variants) for cheap disguises.

That said, I'm also really glad you've given people the option to disable drops if they want, since there's a very good reason GSC never allowed it, and it's precisely the reasons you've given.

The player can repair armour themselves rather easily. It takes more time, and you have to find the right parts, and deliver all the right toolkits, and pay for repair kits, so it is gated to an extent, but this all works out cheaper than buying repairs, and certainly gives access to better equipment than anyone is willing to sell you, early on. As the person above says, this addon has the greatest effect early and mid game, before the player can do all of these things, by forcing them to purchase their first good suit from their faction. This has the additional effect of making each different faction playthrough more unique, as the gear available will change.

Edit: I forgot to mention disguises. Many different suits can be purchased at the Flea Market, which now has new importance. For factions without access to this, there are also the Ecologists.

Not really, been trying this a day now, it just makes early game a bit harder. You can uninstall it once, let's say, you disable radar. That way you can slow down the gameplay for some hours, then still get some stuff after it, like it is some kind of achievement.

It also prevents every game from being exactly the same: will I get a Monolith or Military Nosorog this time? That the Nosorog is the only viable choice beyond mid-game is a larger issue for the Anomaly devs to work out.

Nosorog is garbage for me, it makes the combat too easy and is too heavy. I go for lighter exos that let me carry more and don't give much protection so the game is more balanced and I still have to watch out in combat even in lategame.

Those light exos have nicer hands, too.

Actually, same here. Anyways, poor protection settings and 2.7 damage value makes you die in a Nosorog pretty easy if enemies have AP ammo. Unless you carry some bullet protection artifacts or stuff. I struggled to complete the Sin questline on the CNPP with a Monolith Nosorog completely upgraded.

I've always reckoned that there should some restrictions placed on the new repair system, it can be honestly too quick and easy just to dismantle then repair some of the highest tier equipment rather early on. But what are your thought on there possibly being an element of chance when it comes to suits dropping? Especially in regards to rank, it would be easier to take a light leather jacket off a corpse as opposed to a heavy and complex exoskeleton. Either that or just severely decrease the possibility of drops from dismantling suits

I love this addon and played the first 3 parts of the story with this. Great! The problem came with the 4th part, where you have to use disguise to pass through the Zone (if you do not want to use God mode...).
Maybe the solution is a compromise, I could deactivate only the drop of exos and nosorogs, but I don't know how to accomplish this... Any help?

``All outfits are commented out here. It would have been simpler to modify the death script file instead, but this ensures longer-term compatibility with updates. You can also use this file to control which outfits are dropped, for example, you could allow light jackets, but leave everything else blocked, or block only exoskeletons``

son, how do i block outfits?

Looting corpses without taking all their clothes off makes more sense to me, and you can eventually buy other faction suits if a disguise is required. Thanks!
