Samurai Wars XR is a completely revisited and improved version of the original Samurai Wars for Savage.The Newerth Community is due to release early 2009 a new Savage patch called XR, that introduces a great multitude of Visual, Sound and Gameplay improvements.To celebrate this historic patch, the Newerth modding team has integrated Samurai Wars into XR so it can be played from within the same client as the Savage game with no need for further download!Furthermore, Samurai Wars has been entirely debugged (dozens of bugs!), graphically improved with shaders (bump mapping), and the Tech Tree has been almost doubled!

Several people complained about lack of support for 1st person view in Samurai Wars.
So All ranged weapons and items now support both 3rd & 1st person view.
This was a serious shortcoming of the mod, that has now been fixed!

Hurray!
After so many failed Feudal Japan mods, it would be expected that at least ONE would succeed! I was overjoyed when I found that the game the mod had been created for was now free, but disheartened when I found the mod to have a small community.
Now I am once again bursting with happiness: with improved graphics, gameplay, and the fixing of bugs, this is certainly one mod not to be missed!
