I kind of figured it out. Right click on Steam version of your game in the library>>> Select properties>>> Type in "-mod:bi/russ">>> Run the game as BI. Provided russ is in bi folder, it should work.

Unfortunately no English fix. The cities definitely need to be improved as Roman buildings in medieval cities look strange.

A little bit of background for the mod would be nice.

-Go to .../.../Rome - Total War/bi/russ/data/text

-Then find this files:
I65.servimg.com

... you must cut and place them in another place (its for prevent any error or mistake), e.g.-> create a new folder there inside called "-ORIGINALS-", and place these files there inside... the important is they do not stay there inside text folder
I65.servimg.com

- In this way you can play this mod in a very basic english (or whatever language you had the game install)... Knows which bonus gives each building, is very important, and this way allow you to do that... (eg)

greetings

It works, but in the basic version. Faction names, cities, etc. are still written in Cyrillic. This mod is really great - it perfectly reflects the atmosphere of Eastern Europe, but I miss the alphabet. I noticed there is a Cyrillic and alphabetic version in the text files. Maybe there is some other way to translate it?
