RTR Platinum is a mod for Creative Assembly's game called Rome: Total War. It is an updated version of the popular Rome Total Realism Gold mod, that has been adapted to work with the newer RTW v1.5 game engine. The objective during the design of the Rome Total Realism mod was to create a more historical campaign, on both the strategic campaign scale and the tactical battle scale. Nearly all the game's graphics have been update with new graphics that are more detailed and historically accurate. A lot of attention to detail has gone into the Rome Total Realism mod.

Total crap, installed it like I was supposed to and now the game wont go past the first loading screen. Well back to a fresh install.

Most of the differences are visual, historic, and gameplay based. Trust me when I say that this is one of the best mods for the game, especially if you love the ancient period.
