Europa Barbarorum is a modification of Rome: Total War based on the desire to provide RTW players with a more fun, challenging, realistic, and historically accurate game experience. Europa Barbarorum is a total conversion, though it covers roughly the same time period as the imperial campaign included with RTW.
The modification affects all areas of RTW; all vanilla units have been removed, all new models and textures, a new economic system, new traits system, new scripts, and in general new gameplay. No area of RTW is left untouched.
The winners have been announced for Total War's first mod awards.

Add to the Force_Diplomacy mini mod, this one is missing, on other sites the links are broken.
Anyone who discovers the mod here will get an outdated version.
Maybe adding a link somewhere visible would be in order?
Twcenter.net(EB)
EB is currently on version 1.32
Twcenter.net
Version 1.3 was made by a different modder and not by the original team.It has more bugs than 1.2,broke hoplite animations, added ahistorical Lorica Segementata units, etc. It also replaced EB textures for some units with textures from other mods that don't fit the artstyle of the other units.
That version is full of unnecessary changes and mismatching textures since the new devs decide to put textures from other mods in it.
Bug? or is it correctly?
Province kind of type 4 (vasall)
is already built in some provinces / or damaged when you conquer (Nervaea_Belgae, Vindelicos, Venedu_Tauto are my present experiences).
repaired, I can recruit instantly General Units with 126 men? at level 1 "barracks" ?
the recruitment viewer shows me, this is a MIC Level 5 unit. (Elite)..But not sure if I have a correct interpretation of this viewer. I would like to see the differences in province governments types 1-4.
ok, back. the stats of the unit proofs this, that this an elite unit.
And also this units heal/fill up itself.
beside this, this General units are much cheaper than their pendant regular unit or mercenary (for example at the germanic mercenary general - to heavy germanic infantry, costs and keep up is the half; additional the general unit heals itself)
and another bug is additional at the celtic lesser king. I can upgrade this to a 160 men unit (huge army size setting). so I have a 160 men, self-healing, generals unit and built of it as many as I want? keep up is 500+
its me again.
so it seems, the General Units of type 4 government are to recruit at any MIC level. also at level 0. they are shown as MIC 5 unit. so this is a bug?
another on is, the family members have 0 upkeep...but I have to pay wages? these wages are missing at the unit details
another bug is again the celtic lesser king, which can be upgraded. may be there is a internal bug that the system sees this as the celtic noble swords men or heavy ones. so it upgrades them to 160 men (huge).
and another bug is the trait, where such general units can move only 1cm at the map. really...only 1 cm per turn. there are lots of traits which decrease the movement...they work all together.
and:
if I destroy culture penalty structures like roman medicus, the penalty does not change? so I can keep it?
PS
I recommend to play campaign in medium or hard and battles in hard or very hard.
in medium the battles are too easy... especially if you use only family member and general units. but the barbarian spear units are stronger than roman triarii?!
pps
the mercenaries are ways too expensive. but nice to have. in some areas are almost 20 different units to get, total 40 units...
ppps
Gaesatae (Gallic "Naked Fanatic" Infantry)
is the only infantry with 2 hitpoints. why?
there were gallic tribes which called themselves Germanii about the famous warfare of crazy germanic naked ones or berserkers. they looked to the germanic tribes which could not be conquered and were used as auxiliary.
Last year i successfully installed and played it without problems (except lags due to to much details that made crash the game) but then i accidently uninstalled it while trying to install Rome total war darthmod. And now i don't know how reinstall EB i tried all the download files and all they ask me is a stupid recruitment view
I have downloaded all files 10 days ago and all works fine.
a) clean Rome installation 1.6. update
b) EB 1.1
c) EB 1.2
d) EB 1.2 bug fix
(e optionally: RS2_Environment for EB)
I installed darth mod years ago (its BI?) I could never clean this Rome installation anymore. I have to uninstall completely all.
Does someone know why "Payai Dunai (Saka Foot Archers) and Paya Hinam Dunai Purma (Subeshi Archers)" have the same recruit cost and upkeep? Saka Foot Archers should be cheaper because their lower stats... I tried to find solution by changing some info at "export_descr_unit" but when game starts the file got automaticaly replaced with old one.
