Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

Why do I think of WH:40K?
Looks amazing, nice work.

It looks more like the zone troopers from C&C3 to me...

... then again the zone troopers are supposedly inspired by the space marines of WH:40k & Starcraft...

If honestly, it reminds me more of Starcraft 2 Marine armor.
To be precise, Starcraft 2 WoL, second-to-last mission "Belly of the Beast", where Raynor carries big-*** sniper riffle.

It's based on Samus Aran from Metroid.

However, I can see some Zone Trooper resemblance there.

Honestly, it looks mostly inspired by the original art for the Zone troopers, you know where they didn't have the large canopy over their heads and the only thing protecting their dome was a mask-less infantry helmet.

Wait...why would you need to build a rifle scope the size of a mini car when the Mech itself already has sensors and scopes in his helmet? :D

(I know, I know because it looks cool etc still it somehow bothers me)

Sensor packages linked to his helmet can already be happening but don't don't mean the scope is obsolete. You still have to have a sensor package on the gun itself and an extra screen really shouldn't be so much of a hassle. And for the range that gun goes for, optical equipment is probably gonna be...well? Huge.
And you have old troops with new tech. They're probably already used to scoped weapons by now so removing them would probably take a bit of getting used to for little reason. Especially given that the optical and display equipment in the helmet itself might get damaged, forcing the user to either tear off the thing and hope there's iron sights or shoot from the hip.

You pretty much said what i envisioned myself with this one ^^

I always liked to imagin that in a case the optics helmet would fail they could always fall back to those on the rifle its self.

I was reminded of Tiberium Wars (the fanfic) writing that. The Black Hand had a knack for taking bullets there when AT or other appropriate weaponry wasn't available to deal with them.
Sound familiar? :P

There's nothing defensive in the whole Manticore protocol, but, by personal experience, being attacked by huge blue-mushroom-planter railgun ultra howitzer makes you wish it stayed as a defense. :)

Mhm... When I see that my ECA ally AI has Pandora, my first reaction is to force-attack and destroy it, so that thing won't destroy my own defenses when the enemy is too close.

You know I saw this in the trailer and seemed to be a bit over-sized compared to the normal infantry! Personally I cannot find it in myself to call this a "Combat Armor" or an "Exosuit"! This my friends is fully fledged Mech If I've ever seen one! And I have absolutely no problem with that what so ever!

By the way, does someone know is it possible to shoot down a Venom with any of the snipers, Partisans, heroes and other Vikings included?
I'll probably need a rubber band to pull my jaw back up if some dusty towelhead with a 70 years old rifle without a scope lay my 3 prom Vennie right in the middle of some brilliant attack procurement...

I don't want to sound like a **** but I wonder if you could make the valkyrie female and the viking male?

just thought it would add some diversity rather than making amazons in power armor.
It would also make the "lore" more realistic since you stated yourself that these power armors are piloted by both men and women

perhaps just an addon please :).

Description

Due to the technical complexity of the suit and the shortage of advanced materials, it is expected that the total number of operators does not exceed the mark of a hundred. The men and women inside the suits are exclusively recruited from the cream of Europe's large special forces community, including the French 1er RPIMa and Poland's famous GROM. Upon selection of the Venom protocol, ECA battlefield commanders can choose to deploy operators from two distinct formations: The CQB specialists of Team Valkyrie, whose suits are equipped with shoulder-mounted anti-tank missiles and a heavy assault weapon that combines a 10 gauge smoothbore cannon (typically loaded with canister rounds) with a 40mm drum-fed grenade launcher or the elite sharpshooters of Team Viking, whose suits come with a miniaturised version of the Starstreak anti-air missile and the Longbow, a 65mm anti-materiel 'rifle' that fires high-velocity tungsten-graphene penetrators at long range.
