The Empire has fallen and a New Republic is born out of the conflict. But in the ashes of civil war, yet another life stirs...
An old but reliable design, the TIE/sa is equipped with no laser weaponry but comes standard with proton torpedoes and concussion missiles, the later being put to effective use against attacking enemy fighters.
Pew Pew! Wait no, I mean Boom Boom!
With a lot of emphasis on "PEW". I mean "BOOM".
Nice
Great job.
I thought the TIE/sa had lasers on its wings
Depends on the source material you are using. In some cases it does, while in others it does not. In any case, in almost all instances where TIE Bombers were forced to engage enemy fighters, they did so with the use of their homing concussion missiles.
Right but they do have 2 laser cannons, please add them. Starwars.wikia.com
No they don't...not always. I've read the wiki but also notice on that very same page the schematic that lists bomb bay, proton trop/missile tubes, but no laser cannons:
Img3.wikia.nocookie.net
Further, it mentions that the TIE Bomber is often modified in various ways, usually to allow for higher bomb/missile/torp capacity.
Instances where the TIE Bomber is bereft of laser canons include:
The movies (granted, their appearances in the movies are few)
Rogue Squadron games
Galactic Battleground (could be due to game mechanics)
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces
Instances where the TIE Bomber has only a single, centrally mounted, laser cannon:
Star Wars Battlefront
Empire at War (and FoC)
There may be other sources as well but the point is that it's not always consistent.
Farseer, I'm aware of all those inconsistencies and i don't care about them as long as you include the laser cannons hardpoints on the model, I'll activate them in the hardpoints xml =)))) please.
Do you not have 3D modeling software to add them yourself?
Nop, but there is no problem if you don't wan't to =). Great Mod keep it up. Hug
Also, in the Xwing simulator pc series (Xwing, Tie Fighter, Xwing vs Tie Fighter, and Xwing Alliance), TIE Bombers came standard with torps, missiles, and two laser cannons.
Granted, all instances involved space combat. I could easily see bombers retrofitted for proper strip "bombing" with charges would be different (as in "bombing run available" for EaW).
It is canon now, they do have 2 laser cannons.

When can we expect the final release?
Baring any unexpected emergencies, before the end of this year.
Kudos to you, Farseer. Most modders would not answer this question so...well, nicely.
On topic though, this is a really nice looking version of the TIE Bomber.
It's a question I do get asked a LOT so it's sometimes irritating to have to answer it over and over but in the end, it's easier to just reply than to get upset. Who can blame someone for not reading miles of comments to find their answer anyway? I know I wouldn't...
And thank you :)
When it's over are you going back to Halo: Campaign Commander? I'm still hoping for heroes, space, and Galactic Conquest.
Yes, I will be going back :)
Cheers dude, appreciate the answer.
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
in empire at war they actually have very powerful laser cannons. I am glad to see that removed
