The Imperial Remnant starfighter corp. is nearly complete! Only two or three more ships to add and then it's off to finish the other factions' fighter wings...which themselves, are nearly done.
Are those red interceptors part of the 181st?
181st Has red stripes on the wings. They are in the mod but those are not them. The all-red Interceptors with extra canard wings are exclusive to Imperial Royal Guardsmen. In the mod, they will accompany high-ranking hero transports in Galactic Conquest as an addition defense.
According to canon (or Legends, as it's now called) they are equipped with shields and hyperdrive motivators.

Good idea with the escort mechanics. A nice way to make a hero not completely useless in space without giving him hes own huge spaceship.
Thanks :) Yes, especially land heroes stuck only in a shuttle were often nothing more than a vulnerability. Improved shuttle mechanics as well as these escorts will hopefully fix that.
Space hero escorts sound pretty freakin' awesome. Will that apply to all heroes who use fighter-class ships?
Heroes who are fighter-class like the 181st, need no escort ;) Its mainly for ground heroes who would otherwise be just a sitting duck in their shuttle.
So, would Luke or Boba not get escorts on the grounds that they're supposed to be ace pilots?
In the mod, Luke will not fly his X-wing, as those days are long behind him at this point. He will attach to flagships or be in a shuttle if no flagship is available.
Boba requires no escort. Lol. But really, the escort concept is strictly Imperial; it's one of the 'faction specialties' that will set them apart and help make them unique.
Ah, cool. Will those Imperial ground heroes also have a ground posse as well as a space posse?
It might make sense to add that and would look cool to see a Dark Jedi like Zekk, flanked by a small cadre of Royal Guardsmen.
