The Empire has fallen and a New Republic is born out of the conflict. But in the ashes of civil war, yet another life stirs...
The T1-APC is a heavily modified variant of the T1-B light hover tank. Most of the rear engines as well as the side-mounted rocket launcher, were stripped away to make room for hollowed out hull section that can safely house a single squad of infantry. Slits on either side of the rear chassis allow infantry to fire from the safety of the vehicle and while it is on the move.
The lack of most of it's engines means that it moves slower than the standard design but it is still faster than hover tanks of heavier classifications, with the potential to become even more powerful offensively, if garrisoned with Plex or Sniper squads.
So essentially a mobile bunker? Now that's awesome.
Yes, exactly what it is. Obviously the capturable bunker buildings have many more hitpoints and can house more than a single infantry squad, but mobility in bunker format seemed like a cool addition to gameplay :)
did you manage to change/set the firing points (understand spots from which the garrison fires)?
These are simply hard-points that do not become active until a unit is garrisoned, at which time they inherit whatever projectile is assigned to the parent unit. This code and process are the same for the bunker structures already in the game :)
Well the issue you might face is, that the garrison will fire from the middle of the vehicle instead of from the rear part, because the bunker fired as well from the center of the main mesh (it has no hardpoints as such if I remember correctly, neither it has any muzzleA bones).
Yeah, I'm still working out those small details. The bunkers had no hardpoint code not did they have muzzle bones. They did have muzzle-like bones though but they follow a different naming convention than typical muzzles. The entire rig for the bunker is actually quite strange. I'm pretty confident that I can get it to work though, I just need to study the original bunkers a bit more.
GL then, I abandoned one of my projects because of this, so if you manage to change it, let me know ;)

This is pretty cool, actually. I might even use it, unlike the transports in Vanilla, which I rarely used (granted, I used them more than the MDUs...).
So, this is a New Republic vehicle. Does it come with leather seats and cupholders? What about ac/heating? Oh, and heated seats for those missions to Hoth?
Actually, the T1-TUB is retrofitted with an indoor Jacuzzi in lieu of a combat transport chassis. Built-in food synthesizers are also programmed for martinis and tea, earl grey, hot.
So, it's an Infantry Fighting Tub/IFT vehicle? Talk about comfort fighting.
Nah, more like a Rebel party bus. And thus, the Galactic Civil War was resolved and everyone enjoyed a synthesized martini. Turns out that a hot tub and some good drinks were the most effective weapon of all.
AH CROSSOVER!
Great scott! It's like there's been some kind of rift that created a parallel universe... Like we're separated only by a millisecond of time and a nanometre of space, without ever having contact.
Thank you, I'll be here all week...

Yo can we download these models and try them out?
