A little slower but about the same power (perhaps weaker overall though). The reason for this is that the ATPT also has a concussion grenade launcher mounted to the chin, which can be used like the "grenade toss" ability every 15 seconds or so. One grenade will have the power to wipe out a single infantry squad.
That window though... It just doesn't seem right. Maybe something smaller and more rectangular? I don't know, AT-ST has made me prejudiced to large windows.
There are many variations of the ATPT and its windshield specifically. Some have inset windows, others are flat. Some don't have a window at all but a slit like the ATAT.
No, they will all look uniform. The various styles were never featured together in one instance. Interestingly enough, the original and intended style was supposed to look like the cockpit that I've used on the ATAR, with a single slit for the viewport. However, the original concept also had black paint below said "slit" viewport for anti-glare (much the same as old airplanes had or why some athletes paint black stripes under their eyes). Furutre artists mistook this black paint for a second half of the viewport and so just about every subsequent iteration of the walker has featured this single, massive windshield because of one artist's mistake. It's kinda of funny, really.
I digress. Basically, this version of the design is my favorite so it's the one I've chosen to recreate and will be the only one in the mod.
Well for all intents and purposes, its the sci-fi equivelant of an armored car and those are notoriously uncomfortable. Every account I've read said they got hot inside, had only enough room to sit and operate leavers, and were jerky and rough-riding.
I've always thought of it as more of an attempt at making mass produced powered armor or something.
Also, just have to say, my first read-through of your comment didn't pick up on that you'd switched from armored cars back to the AT-PT, leaving with a little bit of "armored cars have levers...?".
That is quite armed for a walker...
Where is picture description? ;)
I like it when is nicely described.
Anyway - work approved.
I figured All-Terrain Personal Transport kinda sums up the entire description. Lol. There's not a lot to this unit.
its so tiny its cute lol but I am gunna guess that these things will be dangerous in groups?
They will be replacing the TIE crawlers and will act similarly. Thought slightly higher armor and less speed.
Will the rate of fire be similar?

Sweet. Ty for the info.
your groundunits are so awesome
Looking good! Keep up the good work! :)
Perfect, absolutely perfect!

That, and though it looks cool, the angled window is terribly unpractical for the person inside the walker.
It's actually angled like that if I remember correctly. I always thought that it was a strange design for the walker.
Outta curiosity, will this be an empire only unit or will the New Republic have them as well.

Will the groups come with a mix of windshield styles?

All said, this does not look like it'd be the most comfortable walker to pilot.

Ah, the ugly duckling of the AT-family. :D
The texture is great as always. I hope you'll be giving this thing some new walking animations.
I'm making all new animations for it :)
Thanks everyone!
