A fan for Real life Military equipment ? then this is your mod ! it is a Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge mod that basically imports a lot of RL military hardware from the cold war era in the 60's to the late 2000's while maintaining a lot RA2 aspects like prism, tesla tech and etc. Also, It expands on the original RA2 armor system thanks to ARES in which it creates more roles to create numerous units effectively expanding the complexity of handling an army making it necessary to use mixed arms to counter the various unit types. Also, do note that each country will have some twists in their military equipment that will be more or less similar to their respective RL counterparts. In short: it is a relative to reality fun mod but "a fun mod" is conservative statement.
"Nominally/Normally Covert - Special Purpose Unit" Or better known as Joint Strike Force operatives whom have been trained into various parts of warfare under a mix of national and international pedigrees, they are usually handpicked green berets but are sent off to other special forces units. Mainly they are trained in and with Delta force, SAS, Navy Seal and Marine Raiders aside from other international special forces. These soldiers are a lot older than their other counterparts usually at their late 30’s early 40’s but in the battlefield, age has not slowed them down one bit.
Whilst TANYA Operatives act as the main attack body of any special operation,
NC-SPU operatives are the spear head of any operation usually deployed in tandem with TANYA operatives or HARDLOCK agents as either reconnaissance / attack spear heads, to cover their flanks or to take care of their six.
They are ghosts in the battlefield and prefer very silent but deadly tactics, usually armed with Silenced MP-5’s with various other accessories and C4 demolition charges. They also can switch to a different load out of which the operative can use his trusty M32A1 40mm grenade launcher fore more solid targets. They can also switch from timed to remote C4 charges. The Operative always remains camouflaged unless he uses his grenade launcher. Due to their mission’s orientation natures and to preserve their cover, operatives maintain radio silence using only specific radio clicks to communicate.
