R.E.A.R.M. - "Rearmament Expansion And Redesign Mod" is an unofficial Homeworld 2 expansion and it adds number of new interesting and various units.
Since I'm working on more invisible things right now, but I want to keep this updated, I have something absolutely insignificant this time. So I don't expect any response, this is just me showing you the little platform.
You will find it interesting only if you like to play the factions (where Laser Vaygrs had nothing) and you ...don't ignore the platforms.
Unedited screenshot.
Huh, I still like the look of them though, even if you think it's fairly insignificant, which is fair enough considering what else you've done. :)
Well I am actually glad I did them, I just don't value them that high.
Thats my Playstyle just build Lance Plattforms and when an enemy is incoming he got burned by the beams XD. It is not a soo big change but i like the plattforms.
Question: how do the Missile BCs stack up against the normal BC?
It's pretty even, although it tends to win with the additional weapons.
It's just a different ballancing between the firepower, armor and cost.
For more information read my comment here (fifth from top): Moddb.com
Many times i have wished for these when my lance fighters where being killed by anti-fighter corvettes:) whats the firepower?
I jest got a new wallpaper.
Kinetic turrets are 32, Missile turrets 127 (which is almost 128), those Lance turrets are right in the middle of the mathematic line: 64.
Glad you like it.
Ah, the factions become ever so slightly more balanced. Good, good. Well, actually the point of the factions is that to win, you need the other factions production ships to build a balanced fleet. So, the factions are supposed to be lop-sided in effectiveness against various ship classes, but not lopsided in the number of ships that each can produce. You really need to acquire the other two factions production capabilities to win (well, that's the gameplay that is trying to be produced). Whether you do this through an alliance of different factions, or through capturing other factions production ships is up to the player to decide how s/he wants to play.
Don't you want to write some kind of manual? You very well understand the concept of everything, plus you have a normal English unlike me.
Do you mean british english or american english? american english tends to forgo grammar
I hardly think that makes a difference for a mod manual. No one really cares how it's written as long as it's correct enough to pass readability and contains good information.
On the topic, I can only reccomend a manual. The ability to convey your ideas tends to clear up some simple questions you otherwise get over and over again.
With a manual you can say RTFM ;)
Power to say RTFM, I'd need that sometimes.
I dontget why people dont use platforms or see them as usless.
Good for you, because platforms got a lot of attention lately. Icons, descriptions, research and new types as Hiigaran Modular platforms and those Lance platforms.
I will always have a few platforms guarding my home RU patch; 3 gun, 3 missile/ion at least usually, but not too early, mid-game earliest.
Before mid-game, my RU is going towards the Fleet, but I like to use nearly everything in the game if the game goes long enough and Platforms get used for sure.
