After a significant 'tutorial planet' the player will be given the option to train in and take on one or more professions including Thief, Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Merchant, and Marine.

Primary features include:
-Monthly updates with new missions, zones, planets, tech, and more!
-Buying (or stealing!) ships that can be inhabited and flown in true first person perspective
-Multiple character professions
-Interstellar flight between living breathing planets with varying societies
-Heavily interactive environments including the ability to use surroundings as weaponry
-A penal system
-Commerce & banking system
-and much more!

As you can see, there is a ton of work to be done, and we don't have any disillusion as to the difficulty of the project. Not all of these features will make it to the first few builds, but they will make it through our excellent team that we are bringing together. We are welcoming community suggestions as well.

*NOTE* We have many positions still available. Please visit our recruitment page to apply if you can help us! Thank you.

So this is Project Firewind's faithful leader CRUNNK here. I got a lot of explaining to do to the general public who's been following the mod, so here I go.

Firewind had to go on hiatus due to a financial issue on my part which took very heavy precidence over the mod. So for the past month or so the mod has been what may seem dead. However I am now back and ready to kick this thing back in to full throttle. In fact, as I type this I am putting finishing touches on some zone maps for my mappers and I to work on and complete which will form the entire prologue of Firewind.

So no, we aren't dead. Yes, we are still going to deliver the best mod of 2009/10. Keep your eyes peeled everyone!
