Some time ago the United Galactic Council (UGC) introduced a ban on organized religion due to the conflict and war brought on by such belief systems. The majority of voting citizens passed this act on the terms that individual citizens will still be able to privately practice their beliefs, but that public meeting places would be shut down. The High Knights of the Divine are an extremist contingent within many of the galaxies governed by the Council that engage in many criminal and terrorist activites against the UGC in the name of the divine. They believe that the Council is an evil entity bent on the domination and destruction of all democratic societies in the universe (even though the UGC itself is a democratic body). The leaders within the Knights are considered high priority for bounty hunters, as the price on their heads are often extravagant due to the danger associated with going after one of these highly guarded people.

I've recently started sending out invitations to people within the ModDB community who I feel have great skill and would be an asset to the development of Project FIREWIND. There is such a large collection of talent on this site it truly is staggering. Even more staggering is trying to find people who are not already commited to a project.
There is much progress behind the scenes in the writing and concept development departments. We (Crunnk & a few friends not officially involved with the project) have been talking on a daily basis creating the characters, groups, and laws that have shaped the universe that FIREWIND will take place in. One of these groups is called the High Knights of the Divine.
