Map/Level building info:

1. Since I actually care about the quality of my levels, I care for your computer, your frames, and I know how the source engine renders everything, the maps will be optimized.

2. The puzzles are easy to hard difficulty.

3. Each level is done properly, no ambient_generic's to make the AI speak for instance.

4. Yes, the levels do help guide you in a way that tries to make your eye look somewhere or something that will try to help make you walk towards a certain place.

5. A BTS escape like area will be included like in the original Portal.

6. More than 19 test chambers, we haven't decided the number yet.

Hello. I probably should've kept you all updated on the mod awhile ago. I apologize for ignoring this page.

The mod is not dead and is still being worked on. Right now, we are on 13/19 chambers. Although the 13 of the chambers are playable, we still have to add some extra polish to them.

Remember that chambers doesn't equal levels in general so it may take a bit longer even after finishing the test chambers.

The 3rd puzzle is tricky, I haven't figured it out yet. The mod looks great so far. However in the 3rd puzzle I was able to duplicate energy pellets somehow. Looking forward to this though.

I think the audio that plays at the beginning of the mod is a logic_choreographed_scene. i've been trying to get them to work for my portal mod, and it doesn't work (its just regular glados lines) how did you get yours to work?

It is indeed played by logic_choreographed_scenes. But you will need to tell me more than just "it doesn't work".

ok, buuuut, what I'm saying is basically, in you "reveling portal floccinauci" video I watched of yours (good video btw, keep it up!) I noticed that you put in some custom Glados lines, and used the lcs, what I'm wondering, how do you make them, or do use something that isn't hammer to make them work? do you just put in the sound in it, or is there more to it?

Hello, i would like to know how do you ported the ball button and the cube button models from Portal 2, im planning to port the 70´s Aperture models to Portal 1.

I just put the model in there and then I used a hex editor to get the vtf to work properly. I didn't port the model and the ball button is used for a place holder.

Some pronounce it like this:
Floss-e-noss-e

Some others may pronounce it like
flocc-e-noss-e to and the 2 c's are pronounced like success.

I just played demo 3 after a long time of not playing Portal or Portal 2. Anyhow, this is a pretty decent campaign so far. I like the manic mechanic types of contraptions and stuff. Not too repetitive, but I hope the next chambers after the playable ones don't become too repetitive either.

Just saying that since I'm so accustomed to Portal, I kind of solved the puzzles in almost an instant, but that's just me.

Thank you. The last level was supposed to be a hard to solve puzzle. This really is hard to solve if you are a new player or an unskilled player.

If it weren't for the 2nd level, I promise you, you would be stumped on the 3rd level. Playtesting revealed that so then I had to create the 2nd test chamber. The 2nd test chamber taught the player that spheres roll by simply putting the sphere in the hole. This teaches the player that spheres rolling like that will be used in the test chambers.

Yes, but as I said, I've seen this concept in Manic Mechanic and I've used it in my own maps, so I'm not so sure about that. Portal has been out for 12 years now and the skill level of tens of thousands of players that were there from the start or nearly from the start is extremely high.

Okay. I've never seen Manic Mechanic before. I just saw someone playthrough it. I see what you mean now, I still had to add the 2nd level because playtesters were very confused on what to do on the 3rd level.
