I voted classic RPG because you could have huge world with many dialogues and quest results, world changing, bits of lore here and there that you'd have to connect. Would be awesome seeing something like PW in Fallout/Arcanum engine and it would be very atmospheric as well - the psychedellic feel with the nostalgic graphics and gameplay would be really special combined with the "crazy"(varied) lore.

Wow! Man! Splendid idea. I forgot to add that any other option (that is not in poll) is also apreciated!

By the way, have you played this post-soviet apocaliptic para-fallout Atom RPG? I had no time, but bought it my brother as christmas gift and watching it was quite fun.

I mention it, because my bro obsessively play Fallout 1 and 2

Yeah I have but didn't like it much, the whole post-apo slav thing doesn't work for me(and I am slavic(czech) :D) - maybe it hits too close to home, the whole post communist thing and all, lol

It lacks the dark atmosphere of the first Fallout and the combat is kinda slow and not satisfying honestly.

I plan to replay it and give it another chance soon though.

Turn based strategy would be also pretty cool, for example as few soldiers of the SG-1 squad, kinda like XCOM, fighting desert abominations, zombies, morlok bandits or even necrocorp and such.

Honestly this universe you created fits any genre.

I am glad you see PW as universal solution.

You mentioned slow paced combat. Turns - they are currently beyond my reach. I plan rather real-time combat with/or active pause/slowmo. This is doable now.

However I already got resources that can be reverse-engineered or followed in tutorial to create turns. It is just matter of future, while real-time is here and now.

Personally I am not a fan of any post-comm-apo as well. I am Polish by the way. Thanks to communist our countries where already almost apocaliptic, difference is that we were not struck by a bomb but by a system that for 40 years was destroying everything and everyone every day. Seen enough.
However I still like motives from Stalker or Stalski-12, if you have seen Tenet. Or ideas like Star Trek where you have to research anomalies and stuff.

Anomalies are great for excuse to blow player minds with audio-visual, bending reality etc.

By the way, I have been a lot of times in Cieszyn, also in Chech as guest many times, got lots of friends and good memories. Personally I am great fan of your literature and culture in general. Also people are cheerful and very sympathic.

Yeah communists destroyed all the countries and now we are all backwards compared to western Europe... society is also very intolerant and ignorant because of that and values mostly industrial work and such, very gloomy existence... lots of industrial ugly cities as well(I live near one)

Also I am not sure what Czechs have you met, maybe Moravians or eastern Czechs? Many czechs are very fake, rude and intolerant people sadly. Our society is very toxic, lots of complaining and negativity for no reason. We are also amongst the first in many bad things like alcoholism and cancers related to it and some **** drugs like meth...

Also yeah, STALKER is great because of the gloomy atmosphere and the environments which are really good in first person.

I liked the anomalies in paradigm but there are way too many points of interest which makes them not very special honestly, I wish they were hugely reduced.(points of interest) because they are literally everywhere.

Have you tried STALKER Anomaly? Free conversion which connects maps from all three games and is on x64 engine so it's stable, freeplay and many improvements. Lots of submods too.

btw the turn based strategy I meant as a different game of course, not in Warband engine haha

i feel like with the mechanical complexity, aesthetic variety and potential for a cool cast of characters a hybrid of something like morrowind and kenshi would be great, similar to an open-world c&c renegade. i voted modern rpg with morrowind in mind rather than skyrim, mostly because i like its combat better its more in line with warbands (minus the dice roll-esque stuff) but i feel like slotting into any particular genre would limit its potential

given the mod is for warband I am not surprised that skyrim like game is the most voted
and it's men of war, not Men of Honor (which is a fps game series)
fantasy sims would be interesting. Like there are only few spin off by EA.
If there is ship RPG/RPGMMO similar to uncharted waters (online or old single player series) or naval action it would be interesting. But I don't figure out how to implement the setting of PARADIGM WORLDS into such game without the combat becomes MOBA

ssd21345 - yes you're right about title naturally. Well, I am surprised a lot. I mean Warband is very different in mechanic to Skyrim (map and local battles vs open world, managing armies vs single player + companions, etc)
Uncharted Waters - I see someone is already doing well - Github.com. Never played it - is it like SM Pirates?

DarkMaster03 - thanks, that comment explains a bit

I agree 100%. This poll is very interesting, but my intention was not to treat subject too seriously. We play games, so we can speak 'games-language' and instead of writing long descriptions we use shortcuts like rpg, tps, fps and so on. But naturally this comes with simplification, which is enough for a poll.

Kenshi - only seen letsplays - don't have too much time myself for gaming - but it looked great.
But I heard that there is Kenshi 2 in production?

slowly yeah, 2nd is being developed on the unreal engine using the resources they made from kenshi sales. the original used the ogre engine, its one of my favourite games. also one that doesn't neatly fit into any particular genre, so i think its a good example

Heh, what are the odds? Unreal Engine you say... Funny coincidence, but that's a different story. Anyway I think it is good choice.

One of the reasons why I called NewParadigm project is fact that I am too bored with games that are available. So no I don't plan to make 100% of any genre.

Actually I would rather make series of small-mods-games than one extra large project. And I would rather explore Paradigm from some other side every time.

For instance rpg simulator of running small Order outpost. Manage base in camp menu, then every day make a mission in a different region of Paradigms. Then you enter some small area and interact world in a Skyrim/Warband style.
As an Order knight, you are equipped with best weapons, but usually face enemies that have advantage in numbers. You can fight them with plasma guns, or go close combat with double-bladed plasma axe :) Or you can use one of new ideas fiber-technology, bend time, encirlce enemy and attack it from behind. But there should be science missions where player has to research an anomaly, and so on... As a Order soldier, player would have to conduct diplomacy, and again it can be done by menu or by creating a castle scene. It is all question of time.

I already know (and playtested in new project) that there is no reason to use tps/fps/map-view tags as this only limits game. There is no reason (mechanic/engine) not to allow free gradual scroll per any view player actually feels is best.

Thanks for info.

I just want a mod featuring magic guitars, epic sword battles and rock music. :(

In the poll, I chose Point&Click; Adventure, because I love the genre and am very happy it's seeing a revival nowadays, but factually, I'd rather have something else, because I don't think MnB would make a good setting for a Point&Click; adventure.

'featuring magic guitars, epic sword battles and rock music. :(' - sounds like Mordhau :) -> Youtube.com

For point&clicks; stories in Paradigm Worlds write themselves.

Morloks - you're low grade Morlokian militia officer. Your crime investigation leads to dangerous conclusions that this a part of conspiracy on highest party levels.
Group of party members kidnaps and sells morlokian comrades to Sanitarium Conspiracy for their experimental camps. What is more they plot to blame people connected to the Kanzler himself, probably to prepare excuse for putsch and overtake power.

- Necrocorp is just cyber-punk-syndicate template for adventure stories. You could write Dreamweb in PW Necrocorp world easily (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DreamWeb)

- Fantasy Magioucracy - you are a very unlucky ork living in the jungle. By series of accidents you get to 'Evil lords mines' where by series of very unfortunate events you cause Fantasy Magioucracy to fall and you free your brother back to jungle.

Or... You are unrightfully imprisoned Sanitarium Inquisitor. Just before the execution you run away from prison just to learn that you are part of plot that may explain why Doomsday Days 'bring' Ketele on Earth. Is it really a murderous monster, or a brilliant ruse to draw attention from something a lot more important. Is Sanitarium stands behind this 'Ketele' monster? Is it a goddess or scientific experiment?
To learn all answers at last player has to travel up to the tip of the blue mountain on havi-havi desert. No one managed to deny gravity laws, but you know that 300 years ago, on of the first leaders of Sanitarium made it and learn something that made Sanitarium such a power nowadays.

Not that I plan making point'n'click, but I am shure PW has potential to this as well.

Personally my favorites were all Sierra's games, especially quest for glory (there was little rpg in it). And Secret of Monkey Island of course.

Hah, cool link right there!

Well, you do make good points.
Have your tried Beneath a Steel Sky? It's really cool, and it was one of the first point&click; adventures to feature fully-voiced dialogues. Legend of Kyrandia is also great. Of newer ones, there's Primordia, though the ending was a bit underwhelming, and there's Prim, but it's still in development, it's about Death's daughter. Check out the demo on steam.

Unfortunately I am very very impatient in nature. I cannot really play point n clicks now. Not without option to shoot slash etc.
Hmm last one I played it was Blade Runner and I loved it. Kyrandia yes, steel sky no. In these times it was very hard to get a copy of game from west.

Damn, that's a hard question indeed... all those options would make great games using the PW's atmosphere.

I belive a mix of Survival with RPG (like Skyrim) and even RTS would be great combination.
Just imagine a world where you're just another creature trying to survive, and thus you need to escavange resources, build, fight enemies, and at the same time you gather resources to build outposts, bases, cities and even an empire (also leading your troops directly).

Also a RPG like Skyrim you could use your race's stats at your advantage (just like how Argonians are better at stealh, bosmer as archers, and so on).

So, basically my idea would be a survival, where you gather resources and try to not die, then you can build outposts and stuff, all at the same time a RPG like-experience similar to Skyrim

In the end, the only thing that would matter is replayability and freedom.
There would't be a storyline, since the player would write his own story.

I would say a mix of Kenshi, Medieval Dynasties, This land is Mine, Men of War, Banished and Total War would do the trick.
