Monster Mod is a modification based on Botman's original Monster Mod, with new AI monsters (NPCs) and improvements.
This allow(s) you and your server administrator(s) to add some of the monsters from Half-Life, Half-Life: Opposing Force single player game, and a few more unsupported monsters into other MODs.
Monster Mod is developed as a Metamod plugin to be able to run.


This is a huge project (for me) which has been developed since 2006.

I am the only developer right now and not educated at all in programming, only had it as an interest in it at leisure time. Equals the progress is slow because of the lack of knowledge in C++. What makes it even slower, I have a personal life beside of the computer to take care of as well everyday so don't bother to ask me for a release date and spare your time.

Currently looking for:

    o 2nd Programmer (more experienced)

A game server is up and running this modification for testing purpose.

NOTE: This mod is in urgent need of a second programmer to fulfil the to-do list.

o New monster: Robot Grunt
o New monster: Xen Tree, Xen Spore Small, Xen Spore Medium, Xen Spore Large
o Fixed crash bug with houndeye and scientist
o Changed Human Grunt to the old-school low quality model armed with RPG
o Babygarg can now kick his enemies
o A Shock Trooper's shock will make the target it hit to glow (this also works if the victim already had a rendering, it store/save the current index's rendering (IF he have it) to set the a new one and restore the saved/stored one back)
o If a client/player get killed by a monster, it will print it into the console and able to log the event which will make it easier to detect with e.g AMX Mod X
o Voltigore now deal damage upon death to anyone close to the dead corpse
o Gargantuas death schedule now more similiar to the original Gargantua in Half-Life
o Alien Flock Flyer more optimized to improve the server resources
o Added no friendly fire support for Female Assassin
o Headcrab turns around a little faster from each attack it does
o Optimized HWGrunt to spin up and down at the right time
o Gonome and Voltigore is now able to "victory dance" which means they'll walk up to their dead enemy corpse and eat it to regain health
o Sniper Male Assassins now make a blood stream on hit
o Fixed constant calling for backup/help preventing monsters from attacking and just keep on alerting their comrades

Finally I've made it for Linux! Took a few days for me to figure out to cross-compile it under Windows, but I eventually managed to make it.

Rick Its Me, #BuNnY-.^ we met in the Monster Co-Op Server. I said that i had old account called ThE PrO, yes thats true its not a lie. I was wondering if you can find my password on that account? or if you can't just give me thoose 350 levels that i had. Im sorry for asking for levels its against the rules but i spent time getting thoose levels on my old account. Sorry for disturbing you and please reply to my message Rick.

Yes, but very slowly though because of the urgent need of a 2nd programmer for more advanced stuff which have to be done/implemented.
